I think we mighta found some new fans of german bikes! Same exact experience wrenching on my 1st BMW. Havent looked back. Those K series bikes are fantastic.
What an awesome step by step getting that German beast to breathe and burn again! Seriously- that was a very interesting tutorial- thank you for the content!
Appreciate you watching man! Kind of semi unedited just let the camera roll type thing. Bike turned out really good! Runs really strong and smooth! I never understood what people really saw in these bikes. After working on it and riding it, I get it now! Cheers!
Just picked up an 08 K1200s basically need to clean old gas and most likely replace fuel pump. Happily spoke w BMW tech, there’s a service bulletin for the fuel pump…. Good thing the part alone is 500.00 😅 nice job on making her run.
Guys: Thank you for bringing that K12 back into the light! Harley is great. BMW is also great. That K1200S may just be the best sounding motorcycle that BMW has ever made. I had a K12, and got her up to 150 on the road out of Tonopah, NV, past Racheal, barely making it into the Shell station in Alamo, NV. These things were made to f**kin' honk. Keep on rockin' in a free world, guys. Tires are lookin' OK, but they're probably pretty old. Recommend that you install a set of Metzeler M7RRs. Soon. Like the HA says, "Ride hard, die fast." M7RRs will help you to prevent that. DAMHIK.
Lots of times, especially on injectors and small electric fuel pump motors, when the fuel gets old, it varnishes up and gets "sticky" You can a lot of times apply voltage as you tap and get them going again. No different than smacking a blower or starter motor with a hammer. I've gotten hundreds of injectors going like that.
The two boys with the police/military attire are brothers. They are American but love to collect European and Asian uniforms etc. Love history and everything about it! Thanks for asking!
Bought a 2007 K1200S with 17K miles on it. I put 2000K since I acquired it. Love it Love it… like you guys, I do all my maintenance. The German bikes are definitely unique. I have three BMW’s and all are just a joy to ride. You got a keeper.
@Midex74driver we've been servicing Japanese bikes for 30 years and really love them. I worked on European vehicles in my early career and wasn't a huge fan but this bike really impressed me! My buddy just got an Italian Beta and I really like it as well. Appreciate you watching man!

It was a great time fixing it! Dan's been riding and enjoying it a ton. It is a fantastic machine! Appreciate you watching and thanks for watching!
Harley is great? What are you on, dope or dog food??? In the future, don't mention those nasty stone-age Harleys in the same sentence as BMW!
YEEE HAW, loved watching this. This bike is NOT normal lol
Super cool machine! Turned out great! Thanks for watching!
Great job
Thanks for watching man!! 👍💪
OMG!!! Get a manual!!!! This is hillarious to watch
Why do we need a manual? It's fixed! He's put a few thousand miles on it now. Don't need no stinking manual

That not a barn find, that is a carport find 😂😂..
The logic of people..
🤣🤣🤣 Hahahah! Good one!! That's actually my carport. Didn't have the camera when I got it. But it was a carport barn too lol.
If it’s been sitting….better service the ABS and the cooling system.
Oh yeah. Fresh fluids throughout now. She's ready. What a pleasure of a bike to ride! Dan's pretty much riding it to work daily.

Hey, I know... rev it until you blow it up... it's only been sitting for three years.
Tell him, you listening Dan? Can't tell these young whipper snappers nothing
I'm the one that ended up with it. It's been revved up pretty high since I got it, doing some very hard acceleration, it seems to like it just fine.
@@danielpelfrey6460 it's that fine German Engineering!
@@PSBEadventures the best engineering! Goes for cars and bikes.
As a proud owner of a 2016 K1300S Motorrad, I only do high RPMs under load…. I never “dry rev” especially if it’s been sitting a while
