After watching this and driving there quite a few times to go skiing, I have to say it's one of the most impressive drives in Europe. The great views, steep curves and heavy traffic always make it a terrific drive. Thank you for the video.
A great drive with spectacular scenery. I haven't been in this part of Europe for quite some time. Time to cross the pond, get a rental car and explore the area!
Vielen Dank

2:35, the first distant view of the Nordkette, with one of the best Armin classics playing... o how I long to roam around in the Austrian mountains right now
Hello, I would like to ask where do you find the highway signs such as the sign right down on the screen in 4:25. Or are you creating them on your own in some programme?
Road works like this are pretty common, though A13 had a pretty large number of them last summer. I suppose they can only work half the year there. A13 is over 50 years old, so it does require a lot of attention, especially considering the amount of bridges.
I dont understand why its designated as motorway (A) while new awesome Vienna bypass is designated as expressway (S). This road have sharp curves and dont have hard shoulder on much of its trail. if any road needs to be named as expressway, its rather brenner than vienna bypass (S1)
www.oeamtc.at/thema/vorschriften-strafen/zulaessigkeit-von-dashcams-im-oesterreichischen-strassenverkehr-16180594 This article by the Austrian auto club explains it (you can put it through Google Translate if necessary). In short: dashcams for surveillance are not allowed, recording of scenic roads and blurring license plates is permitted.
0:22 What is this 'bridge' good for? And is their requirement to have a Vignette on the Brennerautobahn since only at 9:11 you'll see signs pointing out the Vignetterequirement.
@@EuropeanRoads Hi. And where to pay the separate toll? Is there any Point on the Autobahn? Or do I need to buy a separate ticket somewhere on gas station?
@@djzombek6:50 is where the toll gate Schönberg can be seen before the video cuts to after the toll gate. This is where you pay your toll for the entirety of the Brenner Autobahn from Innsbruck to the Italian border, or like in this video, northbound as well. If you access the Brenner Highway via a country road (e.g. coming from Germany via Garmisch-Partenkirchen), you don't need to buy a Vignette. If you drive on any other Austrian Highway you need a Vignette.(there are a few exceptions - some short routes where you don't need a vignette or toll (near Bregenz for example) and some Highway sections like Brenner Highway that have their own toll. For example Tauern tunnel and Karawanken tunnel).
Great road did lake Garda to achensee in a Morgan in 2018 Old road on the Italian side....slow And then joined the autobahn as we entered Austria Overheating Morgan with roof down and a threatening thunderstorm meant I didn't really enjoy it as much as I hoped
hi, this may be the most enjoyable road video on UA-cam 😎 Great motorway and scenery, fast speed, engaging music. I hope you can refilm this again soon in 4K. Even better would be a 360° camera recording 🔅😋 they are great for scenic videos, though quite expensive. And if you could drive faster,, as fast as others who pass you, that would be perfection 🤩
Is blurring the carplates automatic by the camera or what? It's extremely annoying. It's not a private house, but cars on public roads that you would see the carplates anyway, so it's really idiotic to blur them out.
He edits them out as explained in an earlier comment. The internet is really good at collecting data, much easier than physically walking or driving around and that is one good reason to cover it up. There are server farms around with just the task of OCR skimming such videos just in case the information is worth something.
Not as long as I feared... It added around an hour of editing time. I use the cookie cutter + gaussian blur mode in a separate video track. The rendering time is much longer though.
So there's no speed limit and no police on the autobahn ? You can go as fast as your car will go. I see you must be in a new Mercedes and driving so slow like a granny. Open up your pedal and see if you can handle going as fast as your car will go. Let your luxury car go so fast to where it goes airborne or a eighty knots and rotate !
I love Austrian roads like you can drive 1300 metres above sea level, then in a tunnel under a 2km of rock, and you dont even know it, like a normal highway. Only my atmospheric engine felt the altitude :) Wish we had these kind of roads in CZ

I have done the Brenner pass road soooo many times going on holiday in either Croatia or Italy. Such a beautiful ride.
Nice video and great music. Felt nervous just watching with all of those trucks. Glad something is being done about it.
What a great drive!!

I heard something about a ban of in car cameras in Austria. So this Video surprising me a little bit ;-) Thanks for it.

Lindo lugar e ótimo vídeo.

Was this an sunday from the traffic or an normal workday?
Hello,
I would like to ask where do you find the highway signs such as the sign right down on the screen in 4:25.
Or are you creating them on your own in some programme?
One of the tightest curves in Europe...I think the other ones are A15 near Berceto and A3 near Vietri sul Mare in Italy!
How common are roadworks in Austria? Are lane closures/reductions as common as in Germany?
Road works like this are pretty common, though A13 had a pretty large number of them last summer. I suppose they can only work half the year there. A13 is over 50 years old, so it does require a lot of attention, especially considering the amount of bridges.

Fantastyczna podróż po Austrii🚗
Nice video. Is legal to use dashcam in Austria?
I guess not ! have also one , consult before travel trought the country, and hide it if not allowed, to avoid high penalities

Wunderbar
I love your videos. Especially those on the Austrian highways. Thank you very much for this wonderful tour.
where are the toll boxes ?
Super videos ! 👍
Wer ist die Interpretation?schöne Stimme, passt perfekt
why are you bleeping out car license plates as they pass you?
Promods: Write that down, WRITE THAT DOWN!
When did you record this?
You have to recognize: the amount of traffic is the same Like in the 70ties because of the quarantine restrictions!

@@EuropeanRoads You must have plenty of time on your hands, I guess you chose the Quarantine period for video editing!
In 2017 the toll was just 9 Euro.
Yes, the toll is raised each year by Asfinag. They are allowed to raise the tolls with the consumer price index.
Reminds me of Colorado
