Dave, you would have to be the most imaginative person I have ever come across. I love the way you have an idea and then just make it happen, your creativity is just mind blowing. Don't ever lose that spontaneity.
I agree. He is the most creative person I’ve seen in my 69 years of living. I taught school for 30 years and came across a bunch of creative kids but never to this level! I love watching your videos, Dave.
Dave you are a genius your precision and design ideas are awesome. You are so open minded and I can imagine if the quilt police came calling you would just tell them to ............OFF
So glad I found your channel. Have binge watched a good number of your videos so far and having watched amillion other quilting videos over the past few years, i have to tell you are one of the most creative and adventurous quilters out there. Keep on being you.
My 11 yr old granddaughter adores this movie! She watched your AWESOME video and wants to try her own version. She got her first adult sewing machine for Christmas 3 years ago has quite a nice stash of "Nightmare" fabric. She has made herself pillow cases and has been looking for quilt ideas. We were both really impressed with all the different techniques that you demonstrated. You have a very creative mind and seem to be a fearless fabric artist. Looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials.
Your free-thinking creative mind just amazes me! Every time I think you’ve completed your best quilt, you step up to yet another level. I KNOW the your quilts will be collectors’ items and will be in museums one day. I hope that you label and date each one. Thank you for sharing your design process. Stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I love Tuesdays because in the middle of the day's drudgery I get an alert for a new Dave's Craft Room video. This was a really fun one. I enjoy the imagery and soundtrack of this film but I always fall asleep when it's on so, I can't say I've ever seen it. Maybe if it had come out before I had kids ...
❤ Dave, Your quilts come out so cute! And you inspired me (through your "avoidance" technique) to make a (my 3rd) t-shirt quilt. Every time I need to clean something, I will work on the quilt instead. 😂 Years ago, I made 2 rock-n-roll t-shirt quilts for 2 friends (they were in a band...) I got my T's on ebay and Goodwill. Added random musical fabric on btwn. I had a bunch of T's leftover, which are really old bands - AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Doobies, Eagles, Moody Blues, Grateful Dead... the oldies of my era! I also have patches which I'll add too! Hope it comes out half as cute as one of yours! ❤
Another killer quilt, sew fab. Keep them coming! I think I will do a completely black white quilt for a Christmas quilt. Love unconventional colors for this theme.
Dave, I just found your channel recently and I'm enjoying watching all your videos. I've wanted to make a quilt for a long time but worry about matching seams, points, etc. I love your style of putting different things together to create neighborhoods and experimenting with different things. I may finally get to that quilt! (After all, it's just fabric, right?)
Crazy freakin amazing! Love your stream of consciousness creativity - and made your own compass, so clever! Every one of your quilts is my new favorite. You make me happy during this chaos we are in the midst of. Huge thank you!
Watching your video on an hotel TV in beautiful Donegal, Ireland 🇮🇪. Uplifted once again by another stunning video! Off to do some sightseeing (the weather here is remarkably good this week). ❤
Absolutely amazing? You seem very modest about your creations - do you know how awesome they are? Love your approach to making, I’m inspired to try to be a little less rigid when I design something. Thank you!
Oh my! What an inspiration! I'm planning a Halloween quilt using my daughter's t-shirts and was wondering how to handle some of the designs I couldn't make a perfect block out of. Love your layout as well as NBC.
“I don’t know how.. I’m gonna do this…I just have to…literally…do it.” Aaaand off he goes and…literally does it. Yup that Dave’s Craft Room in…a nutshell. 👀☺️
U are a very talented person. This quilt turned out amazing. My granddaughter likes him and I'm making her a quilt but it's not as nice as yours. I too have a bunch of neckties that I wanted to make a quilt. Thanks for yr ideas.
Jack Skellington fabric use to be hard to find back in the day ... anyways I use to do a ton of hand guided applique for clothing and figured I would take my fabric stash to quilting. Love your style!!! and the fact you mix fabrics... I am unsure why I was thinking you could only use cottons for quilts ;) despite knowing tshirt quilts exist. Anyways, not sure if this would help but have you ever used heat n bond lite in lieu of interfacing ... it may be easier to use on some appliques as can sew it (do not use the heavy heat n bond just lite) but you do usually need to use a satin stitch to attach to make it a seamless applique, but it helps as after cutting you just iron it on the fabric and sew around the edge rather than glue and fold over the edge just a different way of appliqueing especially on detailed appliques.
Yay Tuesdays! SOOPER fun quilt! Haven’t seen the movie, have to give it a try. ❤ (pssst, still want to see the back, WAS that enough fabric? If not what did you do to fix it? As creative as you are I just have to know.)
What kind of interfacing do you use on the t-shirts. My husband has a few I would like to turn into a wall-hanging for him, You have given me ideas on how to try this. Thank you Dave.
I saw NBC at the Hollywood Bowl conducted by Danny Elfman, with the entire original cast from the movie singing all the songs live. It’s was tremendous. And I’m not even a fan of the movie.

What a wonderful idea!! I love your work..
This quilt reminds me of the work of artist Piet Mondrain. His art would make a stunning quilt.

This is so awesome! My first ever quilt was NBC too! Not nearly as intricate and detailed as yours. Mine was just squares of fabrics

Greetings all and welcome to Dave's Craftroom.
Really enjoy your posts. Wish you would show us how to measure and fit your different size squares together, in a normal speed video.
thank you! I can try to show it slower in future videos. But! I don't really measure I just sew stuff together and then make it fit by cutting it 😜👨🏻

What was the small tool you were using when you did the edges of the dog?
What kind of interfacing do you use on the t-shirts. My husband has a few I would like to turn into a wall-hanging for him, You have given me ideas on how to try this. Thank you Dave.

When you were glueing the hill it started to look like a witches hat
