I'm so glad he's talking more about his music in interviews!! I really enjoy learning about his thought process when it comes to making them. He's been one of my favorite artists for over 5 years now, and I'm so glad that people are discovering his music because it's so unique and unlike anything I've ever heard. It's also exactly the type of music I needed and it came at the right time of my life when I needed it the most, so I can't even begin to express how much love and appreciation I have for this man, his craft, and talent ❤❤
I lived in Chicago for a few years and every time I go back I feel an immense nostalgia. This song really represents that feeling, not only the lyrics but specially the melody. And it makes me think not only of Chicago, but of other cities that I have lived. Great song and great interview! 🙌🏼
I usually never comment on YT but this interview was so wonderful. Djo is such a talented musician💜 I was lucky enough to have Spotify recommend his first release, Roddy in the summer of 2019 before my 3rd year of college. His music got me through lots of long nights studying and lonely times. Now I’m feeling nostalgic for the music of 2019
I love interviews focusing on his music! It’s great to get into depth on Joe’s process of making his songs ❤

He’s a baby, BORN in 1992!
@@anncoleman which made him 10 in 2002, when STP was still touring heavily. I'm blaming his parents. :D

You misuse "misnomer" a couple of times, I think you meant "misconception." Also I can appreciate your anecdotes, but it felt a little name drop-y lol
