I remember all the Nutragous candy bars that the government gave us. We were flooded for 2 weeks after ice melted, people were using a boat to cross parts of the street.
I couldn’t wait to get out to go to work because I supply material to penndot. My four-wheel-drive did everything it had to get out of where I lived on to a regular highway. As I go by the Kirk Nevin ice-skating rink in Greensburg, what do you think I see? I see city trucks plowing the parking lot of the skating arena and exercise facility. The roads were barely plowed and I’m talking about Route 819 coming out of Greensburg. I couldn’t help myself. I pulled into the Nevin arena and asked the men who were plowing the parking lot with a city of Greensburg plow truck why they were doing that when the streets in the city weren’t plowed yet so people could go to work. They told me that this is what they were told to plow. I raise hell about it and what do you think the solution was to prevent this from happening again? They bought a plow truck and a plow for the Nevin arena. This is government for you. I’ll bet the streets were plowed where all of the city officials lived.
I remember that....lived in a plow truck for 4 days......good ole days
I was 9 when this happened, i remember it like yesterday.

That was by far the worst. It was fast, constant and heavy snow. Cars were all plowed in.Fortunately it all melted within the week.
