What's up!!! Yeah, they're tough videos to do because they take a while and are expensive 👀 But! I'll keep as many of 'em coming as I can! Thanks for reaching out 💪🏻
I did a lot of grading with CGC in 2021 and 2022. I really like the look of the blue labels, and the relatively stricter grading they did then. I'm happy keeping them in my collection knowing they're functionally equivalent to PSA 10s in terms of actual card quality.
Ohh for sure. CGC slabs used to have a really mice feep to them, I haven't seen these recent ones in person. Have you graded with PSA in a while? These newer slabs feel nicer than they used to IMO
@@pokedawg I've never graded with PSA as I prefer the stricter standards of CGC, as well as the look and feel of their slabs. I don't sell my graded cards so the comparatively lower market value of CGC slabs doesn't bother me.
So honestly, in not sure! When the card was out if the slab, it was insanely noticeable. But, now that it's in that PSA slab, it's VERY hard to see. Depends on the grader, but my personal belief is that card should be a 9.
I have found that cracking is more effective. HOWEVER- there are certain cards I just send in to cross, especially if they're of high value and I don't want to crack it myself
Yes, prior to 2023 - CGC labels were blue. Back then, I feel that their grading scale was far more strict. The same 9.5 graded blue label jumped to a 10 on their new scale, being as they are gem mint. CGC 9s with certs from 2021 are usually very minty.
@@pokedawg I doubt I’ll be sending my metal mew promo, as the back of it is misprinted (too high-too far to the right) Unsure now of all the pulls I got out of 151 I got allot of stuff off centre but definitely sending my tag teams in to get all 13 as well
Yeah, pretty much.... OR CGC gate kept 9.5s and 10s back in 2021... I have heard from some folks that grade with CGC - they're getting 9.5s and 10s from cracking out PSA 9s hahaha so I think the roles are reversed. Truthfully, CGC ain't what they used to be.
wishing there are more videos like this where collectors experiment with cracking and regrading, thank you again!

Cool stuff.
Do you have any videos *showing* the cracking process? I’d like to see something like that.
You know what, stay tuned! I'll make one here soon!
It’s funny cause I’ve had opposite results recently where 95% of my psa 9 slabs came back as a Cgc 10. I guess just depends on the graders
Dang that's awesome! Blue label CGC?
@@pokedawg nah, the new black labels
@mikemeyers336 I gotcha - I was going to be super shocked if it were the blue 😳 those blue label 10s were insanely hard to get
Got a Japanese Sabrina's suggestion in a blue label perfect 10 was a personal pull so was stoked.
@@theironhornet695 yoooo that is awesome!! Nicely done
Thats awesome, I have been thinking about sending some of my CGC perfects to BGS to see if I can get black Labels
That's sick. If you do that, throw up a video and let me know! I'd love to see it
underrated video man, keep it going
Yoooo, thanks so much! I appreciate you!
Do you think they missed the nick on the Persian or was it so tiny that they didn't think it warranted bringing it down to 9?

If I do a crossover do I need to crack the card out or do I send the whole slab in?

Why did you say the blue label cgc instead of the newer labels, is there a difference ?

Me too this is awesome
🔥
love these types of videos! thank you for your service im to scared to buy a 9 and try to see if psa will give it a 10 lol
You're very welcome! I have another one in the works as we speak 🙏 you should try it out, it's a lot of fun!
Another banger video
I recently grabbed a MGA 10 Ancient Mew which I’ll be breaking out and sending away to PSA to hopefully come back as a 9.5-10
Yessir!!!! Pulling for you Chris!

@@pokedawg get your hands on the 3 legendary birds next, the artwork is beautiful
@@comradechris7975 for surr, it's on the list!
All this is telling me that PSA grades are a little more relaxed.
Which isn't a bad thing, but idk. 🤷🏻♂️ lol

@pokedawg True. I been using SGC alot recently, I just like the way their slabs look. Lol more for my personal collection really.
@davidmayeux2663 they definitely feel good! I've got no complaints with them. The past couple SGC 10s and 95s I've gotten have been incredibly mint
