Sad to see your shop set up go. It was well put together. Excited to see what's next. I loved the idea of a peg board displaying all the gear. Shiney and colourful gear= money but so nice to look at! Best of luck with the move. Liked that you snuck a beer in there
Thanks for the video...been curious about these connectors.
Casey - don't know how I came across you but I just subscribed --possibly it was to do lanyards as I have researched them to the enth degree
Whislt not quite a newbee to climbing (I used to be a 'tree-surgeon' crew leader) but the 40 year hiatus in between has seen a deal of evolution from the 3 stand boat rope, pole harness and webbing lanyard we used - hence the research
You've helped me settle on carabiners for the lanyard I need to set up - given several points
1) the point you make at 3:34 about preferring a regular carabiner opening and given some of the failings of the rope snap components.
2) the smaller size 5:33 and its quick and clean feel
Interesting that you like an eye splice on the working end 4:30 .. I didn't like the idea of big fat knot on the primary end .. does that make me a Diva to?
You say that you have a few lanyards for different uses 2:45 with different set ups? Any chance you can explain these. I'm presently leaning toward a 3 point (double lanyard) given past memories of holding on for dear life as I advanced and was throwing that webbing lanyard around the trunk hoping not to fall

What do you think of the DMM Directors?
2
These look cool, I still like the triple action snap the best
They are a classic snap and probably impossible to replace fully, but I wish they could be added to a spliced/stitched eye!
Awesome video!
In no time you will pass 1000 subs!
Thank you!
I want one. In the mean time I guess you can just use beal pinch with the biner I already have (dmm shadow) might be the cheaper alternative
Yep, that works just as well honestly!
Reddit brought me here, super stoked to see these on the market. I hate having to buy premade lanyards when a splicing shop, a rope, and a carabiner can make the same thing way cheaper. Where’d you find them? Tree stuff is behind the curve, as is wesspur.
Guess I wasn’t looking thru wesspur hard enough. They’ve got em.
I bought mine at Arbsession! Try them out. They're excelllent
Arbsession. Best place

Thank you for the great overview. We're looking forward to trying these.
I been thinking why not just use a little quick link malion type thing for connecting my pile of old rope snaps that I can longer use without having an ugly knot. You can always use a wrench to tighten them permanently. Why not?
Certainly picking up one of these (captive eyed) to replace my ISC captive eye, as my main climbing line termination.
Thanks for the review!
@@TaylorCutsTrees this thing is more compact system is main thing i see and for steel rigging that i do, snagging on retreival is a thing
How did you get it on your tight eye? What tool is needed to take apart the yolk?
It requires two different sized allen keys (one to remove a locking pin and a second to remove the shackle pin).
swivel with bearing or sleeve?
