Ha! I had decided to make this top and was just googling to get some more reference pics, and then I saw this video posted literally 2 days ago. This will be super helpful, thanks for the upload 😄
That’s a great idea!! I’m so interested to know how it turns out! I didn’t realise till I’d almost finished that it was going to be a bit stiff I had already undone and restarted it a bunch of times by that point and I just couldn’t do it again haha
Ah super nice!! 😍 I love to make it! Do you perhaps know how thick the wool is that you use in another term? I don't understand the 8/8, 8/6 and the 8/4. Should you have thickness wool 4.5 - 5 mm for this?
Hi Maria! Thanks!! And for the yarn I think it depends how similar to the original you want it to look! If you want it to look the same then 8/8 and doubled would be the equivalent to the yarn I used and should look the same with cotton. But if you wanted it to be a bit less stiff then probably 8/6 or 8/4 doubled (with 8/4 being the least stiff) or 8/8 not doubled with the same size hook I used would probably work. I feel like the zigzag looks a little more obvious with doubled yarn but if you don’t mind about that then 8/8 not doubled would work! I’m hoping using the same size hook would make it the same size dimension wise but I’m also happy to send the cm/inch measurements of the size you want to make if that would help at all :) Sorry if any of that is confusing! But let me know if you have any more questions 😊
@@StephanieTashi Thank you so much for your quick and helpful answer 🥰 I'm almost done with the one I'm doing, and I am making it with arylic yarn. But I must admit that find it a bit thick 😂 So I am really in a mood to try and make one in Cotton to see what the result would be 😁
@@MariaLonfeldt I am now doing it with 8/8 cotton yarn (not doubled) and it's coming out much smaller, so beware if you haven't yet started/finished! It could be that my tension is wrong, since I had to start with 159 chains to cover my circumference and I am size S/M.
It hard to say exactly because I made it a while ago but I think it took me a couple weeks to make with doing bits and pieces when I had time throughout the weeks. So in terms of hours I’d probably guess around 6-8! But that’s just a guess! The double crochets work up pretty quick so it’s not super time consuming compared to other things I’ve made. I hope this helps 🥰

Perfect timing!! No problem :) If you have any questions along the way let me know - I'd be happy to help!
This is really cute!! I will use a bigger hook size to make it easier to make "the stitch" and (hopefully) less stiff.

Hey! I love this tutorial! I was wondering what kind of yarn did you use? Cotton or Acrylic?
Hi! Thanks so much 🥰 I used acrylic yarn
muuuuy muy muy útil y bueno el tutorial muchas gracias ❤
Thanks so much 🥰🥰
Omggg yes thank you 🥹
Yayy! Thank you for the idea! It was a lot of fun to make 🥰🥰🥰

Thanks! I believe the 8 ply yarn is the same as DK weight. The ball of yarn suggested I use a 4mm hook. Hopefully that helps 😊
Yes! Thank you!😊
Love it! 😍 But if I were to use Cotton Yarn which size should I use? 8/4, 8/6 or 8/8 and should it be dobble yarn? 😁

How long did this project take?
