Just reminds me as a kid holidaying in Blackpool back in 1976 when we had a ladybird invasion because of the heatwave. The beach was red with them. They were everywhere, including your ice cream cornets! What a summer that was!

@@OldBlackpoolBiker it came down in torrents, flooded the bridges that lead to home so no bus tonight, had to walk up the hill. Council were out clearing the drain when I came up.
