I use this C340 6 mm and 2.8 mm with NVR . The sensor is working well only the day time but nigh time is never accurate. There are so many bug in alert. The nigh vision is horrible. Not recommended from a customer who currently use it. The support team is useless.
Sorry to hear of your experience. We have a good number of these installed and they are working well. Obviously each install location has its challenges, but TP-Link support will really be the only people that can advise you if your device is faulty.
I wanted to buy 8 of these cameras, but chose not to when i saw that the cable is fixed and that i can't directly connect my own netowork cable to the camera. How disappointing.
Yes, it is a design that many vendors are going for and then suggesting a junction box is used to hide away the connection. Not sure if it is good or bad, just different approach I guess.

Yes, absolutely. Just install an SD Card and it will record directly on to that with no need for an NVR. When you don't use an NVR you only get video capture from the point the motion is detected. With an NVR you can keep footage for a number of seconds before the motion detection, which can be useful.

Technically it could do, but it would be overwriting the SDCard every day or so I would think.
