Little tip for ya. I always keep a extra key in my pocket at all times. You could get a magnetic hid a key & put it in a safe place on your truck.
Zip tie an extra key under the hood in or near the fuse box I’ve been doing it that way for 10 years

Dudette, you need to get yourself another key and a magnetic box and hide it someplace underneath the truck so that you don't get locked out again. That happened to me once and then I got an extra key and a magnetic box from the auto store and I stuck it underneath my truck somewhere and never again will I be locked out.

Marilyn I love seeing more and more women getting into this industry I've been a truck driver going on 27 years. Back In the 90's trucking was predominantly men ran BUT now things have changed and imo alot of women are better truckers than alot of men so no matter how discouraged you may get stay focused and remember you can do it

A little helpful suggestion from a guy that learned the hard way. We are what we eat and what’s sweet now turns so sour so many of us that work in the transportation industry suffer from obesity and it’s associated diseases. Couple that with bad sleep habits and irregular hours and you end up passing away too early. Just some food for thought. Get the Obesity Code book by Dr. Jason Fung and find out for yourself what’s being done to your health. Because I love and care for my fellow humans.

Nothing but the most respect for your hustle. I don’t drive trucks, my brother-in-law does, my sister and him live in Midlothian TX. I lived there a few years ago and use to go over the road with my brother-in-law while i was recovering from Knee surgery, he used to run flatbed loads off and on. I learned how to strap downloads and everything! Helped him a lot daily!! Im 6’2 205 and it was no joke! I said all that to say most probably couldn’t do your job!! The way you get down is hella impressive! My brother-in-law is an owner operator and has been driving over the road for over 13 years.. needless to say watching your videos are very impressive, you kick ass!!
Just FYI, there are more companies out there, and they pay for downtime and no load pay or being stuck in a storm

When you put those two load levellers close to each other again I wondered why you did that but then you explained why. Learn something new every load. I sometimes wonder if I still got it to go back out. Or am I just to old. I know the road has such up and downs. I didn’t do well with the downs before and wonder if I could do better now. Becca you might need to find a cover for your door lock buttons on both doors. To make sure your pups don't lock you out or unlock your truck while your sleeping.
As for your your trailer most step deckers have a couple pocket winches so if they have to secure where a tire blocks a normal winch. It goes into stake pocket. Be careful, don't hit yourself with the chain like what happened to Shelby (happiness by the mile) she was messing with her tire chains.

I had the same thing happen to me in California. Shipper tried kicking me out in a storm to tarp so they could leave. I gave them 2 options. Wait for me to tarp inside or 2, I'll wait for them to unload me. They waited!

You should have at least two chains in the first 4 feet of the load at minimum (I use 3 chains on beams)
Have your wipers adjust out some. You’re a awesome driver!! I love how you adapt very well in all kinds of different weather. Be safe in the snow and keep windshield cold.

Hi Becca. Can relate to dog locking you out of truck. My shih-tzu lock me out when fueling up. I kept talking to him and getting him excited running back and forth and he finally hit button n unlocked it after bout ten min. Lol. Since then I never fuel up with out window being down at least halfway. Keep videos coming love watching you and the puppy’s. Be safe.

So I had to take the five all the way down to the 210 across to I-10 and took I-10 to 25 back up to 40. I was headed to Wisconsin I actually stopped and Eloy at night time at the TA I didn't see you. If that’s a 53’ trailer you can’t have the rear axle that far back in California. Any trailer over 48’ long has to be 40’ king pin to rear axle

I think you need to get a extra key put it in one of those safe spots on your truck I did with my pickup truck and car😊 I have two dogs also
