I've got to admit, this song never really stood out to me as anything special, but after installing this soundfont, it became one of my favorites in the game. Descending into The Living End with this blasting through the speakers really makes the level come that much more alive. :)
Thanks for your warmful comment! This is exactly the purpose of this SoundFont and why I designed it like this... I spent many, many time testing it on DOOM soundtracks, and kept updating it until I felt fully satisfied with the nostalgia level it produced in my head while listening to the OST without playing the game, remembering the countless hours I spent exploring those levels... ;)
@@Arachnosoft Thanks for the reply! TNT: Evilution's soundtrack also sounds breathtaking via your soundfont, a few tracks that come to mind are "Death's Bells" and "Into the Beast's Belly." The guitar samples in particular are absolutely amazing. I've been using this soundfont for a while now, after first listening to Icarus: Alien Vanguard's tracks played through it, and haven't changed since. I can tell you put a lot of effort into the realism of the instruments. Nice work! :)
+N64Lain You're welcome, I precisely made this soundbank for this purpose! Feel free to download all the music packs recorded with Arachno SoundFont, if you prefer playing with audio files rather than MIDI files: www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php?music-packs Available for Duke Nukem 3D, DOOM, DOOM II and all their famous extensions/WADs.
The SoundFont sounds really good with Doom and works great with fluidsynth it's amazing so far, but one question are there bugs like loop problems or something?
Yes, some samples and instruments do suffer from some flaws like bad loop points or such. Most of them are identified in Arachno SoundFont's documentation. As a result, I usually upload video demos and covers featuring instruments without any major flaws. But I also recommend BASSMIDI Driver or VirtualMIDISynth rather than any other synthesizer; I found that the BASS engine from Un4Seen's Ian Luck actually sounds more accurate than any other, even more than the hardware Sound Blaster synths I designed this SoundFont on!
***** I used the Doomsday Engine, and added: - jDoom Model Resource Pack - jDoom User Interface Pack - HQ textures from the DOOM High-Resolution Texture Project You can get all these from dengine.net.

Your soundfont is awesome, it sounds really great when used in Timidity++ and Fluidsynth when playing any source port!
It was mainly designed for this purpose ;)
Thanks!
The drumming sounds so sick with this soundfont. I will definitely be using this one when I play Doom!

I'm going to add all your contributions to the official playlists ;)

I installed BASSMIDI driver and it sounds so much BETTER than fluidsynth.
