Polymachine is a W.I.P hexagonal cell machine remake (it has hexagons). We plan on adding more cells and different grid shapes. Of course, since the game is so early in development, it doesn't have much cells. We only have the 5 rotator types, a mover and a generator. It will probably be alright to leak it in a few months.
Mystic Mod is shaking.
Trash Cell make a video on this when it releases.

Anyone noticed that the thumbnail is the e621 logo?
0:50 the mover texture needs a redesign. Look at the mover cell at the top-right of the rotator cell. It is spinning but it’s direction is not obvious. Maybe add a line at the back of the mover?

This is really nice! I could probably make this! I already made Conway's Game of Life on a hexagonal grid with looping edges on my first day learning Python, and it shouldn't take that much to turn it into this!

Well umm what is the game link or name
@poootatooo There isn't one. I wrote some lines of code in python. I haven't published the code anywhere. You could probably learn python and write the code for it in a day or more too. I used the turtle module to draw the hexagons. I don't remember much else about the project other than I set the background to be purple and made sure the background was visible between the hexagons. I saved the code, but it's not on this device.
But I am actually making a real game that will be worth publishing. It's still very early in development. I've switched to ARM Assembly instead of Python, but I still use Python for modeling more complicated code (cause I'm new at learning Assembly). I made a type of 2d noise I haven't seen documented anywhere (admittedly, I haven't searched very thoroughly), and it looks better than perlin noise (depends on your goal, but for what I'm using it for, it's better) and takes fewer calculations.

i think i may be trippin but what about a version where theres not even a definite orientation at all, literally every cells a circle and theres no grid, so they can go wild, rotators smoothly rotate the cells and sliders may be a range of angles, might be a grid system and orientation alignment lol
blendi (owner cellua server) already had that idea and he gave up on it

i mean more possibilities are possible since squares have 2 axis while hexagons have 3 and they can have 6 neighbors instead of 4
