    i am georgian so i understood most of your opinions but i want to tell you about last con: discrimination-other tourist who are mostly white are either russian or armenian and the reason why they get along with georgian poeple is they have less language barier, most of georgian people from age 25 and up know russian so do russians and armenians and its very easy for them on other hand new generation are familiar with english language and you can communicate with almost every teenager. language barier may push people to reject you from taking apartments or in other situations and yeah there are some racist people butto be true by our history georgians never had slaves even white people so by history we aren`t racist even if somebody calls you n word that word doesnt represent the same thing that americans may represent because there has never been any case of black people beeing slaves

    The problem is not a skin color, the problem is that in the most of the cases African and Asian students are less responsible, they tend to pay late or leave apartment without paying or letting the owner know about it. Plus most of the students don't behave normally. They care less about the sanitation of the apartment and so on... That's the problem. However the video is informative. Thank you and good luck! ✌🏻

      In as much as I agree with some of your points. You don't have an informed opinion about racism, you're white, you've never been on the receiving side of racism. There's no problem when a flat owner say no to any foriegner, it's his flat. But to make racist gesture or comment is far fetch. I personally and some of my friends have had these experiences here in georgia. So you cannot absolutely be sure that there's zero racism in georgia, it's disingenuous and naive to say so.

    I am Egyptian in Tbilisi , and I can say that racism is there but in my experience is very low rate .
    majority are civilized and are not racist but kind and welcoming .
    as for apartments , I wasn't at the receiving end to judge . but from what I know hence I live here for almost 20 years . many people don't like renting to Indians. and its not race issues as much as its cooking with too much spice issue :) . I read in many social networks a lot of complaints from owners about getting rid of smell of cooking after Indian tenants and they had to remove wall papers and repaint the apartment and smell that sticks to furniture . I know it sounds racists but actually that's what I read and heard .
    others don't like renting to male students and prefer female students because boys living alone can damage the apartment and they are not that sanitary .
    finally I just bought an apartment and in process of renovating it . and I am not going to rent it out to any Indian because of same reason . I have nothing against them at all . and it has nothing to do with racism . but its just investment decision . nothing more .

    • @avichal6630
      @avichal6630 2 роки тому +4

      Isnt it racism if you don’t rent out to a particular demographic though
      So you are basically racist cause you could just ask your Indian tenant to not cook spices

    • @dbfusion
      @dbfusion 2 роки тому

      @@avichal6630
      using your logic you are a racist .
      you only ask Indians not to cook and allow other nationalities to cook.
      do you see how easy it is to put dirt into others eye
      its plain and simple economical decision
      rents are low , expenses are high . and there is no insurance or collateral . doesn't worth it economically at all
      its not Vienna .
      I was living in Vienna , and if I had apartment there, any one is welcomed to rent it !
      they get empty apartment with absolutely nothing but kitchen . and they pay 4 months in advance as insurance "kautionsversicherung " and 2 months for the agent and only after they leave and apartment inspection is carried out and damages compensated they get the remaining back if any.
      those 4 month can easily cover new kitchen and paint job !
      good luck doing this here .

    Stop 🛑 right there. 👎👎👎Unfortunately, the representatives of some countries have a very bad reputation. When ever You are alone then you are very polite, but it is enough to bring together a few of you already feel empowered and become violent. Regardless of your skin color, you owe it to yourself to act humanely. Do not beat children on football fields. Do not show your middle finger to old women when they call you to order and do not forget that Georgia is not Europe at all and you will instantly get an adequate response to all the omissions.

      This is the tactics we know well about. Victim card is played in order to change the narrative. It's the card that blinds you to your flaws and it's the easiest way to create unilateral misery. You're not a foriegner, you're probably white, so you don't know what racism means, therefore STOP right there, your opinion is absolutely invalid
