I know it's been a while, but I've been so busy with work and my babies! We are doing good by the way!
Finally the most frequent asked recipe is up! It's delicious Peanut Sauce, which we call Pinda Saus. After makng this recipe, you can add hot water to it to make it into a pepper sauce.
It's a Surinamese/Caribbean recipe and mostly eaten with barbecued/fried meats. Once you have a taste of this creamy goodness, you want more!
Ingredients:
500 grams peeled peanuts
3/4 cup oil
piece of shrimp paste
5 garlic cloves
1 scotch bonnet
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tbsp aromatic ginger
3-4 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp tamarind paste
salt to liking

Ingreditenten:
500 gram gepelde pinda
3/4 cup olie
trassie, garnalen pasta
5 teentjes knoflook
1 peper/adjuma/madame jeanette
1/2 tl zwarte peper
1/2 el kentjoer poeder
3-4 el bruine suiker
1/4 tl tamarinde pasta
zout naar smaak

What is the powder you put in called cunchur? Not sure if I spelled it correctly. I'm from suriname but live in canada. So I'm trying a lot of the suriname dishes at home. I hope you can tell me what that is. Thanks in advance. I enjoy your channel.
It's spelled kentjoer/kentjur. Aromatic ginger
in Canada it’s typically anglicized as “kencur” but you have to go to an Indonesian grocer to find it

Hey hey, ik had een vraag over de kaasballen ik weet niet hoeveel 18 gram bakpoeder is een een zakje bakpoeder ook genoeg?
Je zou idd een zakje kunnen gebruiken. Dat is dan 16 grams dus die 2 gram maakt niet zoveel uit!
En weet je ook hoe de recept zou gaan als het 400 gram geraspte kaas is want waar ik woon in de winkel hebben ze maar zakken van 200 gram en ik wil niet te veel kopen 😬
Hi hi, how long should the peanuts soak for before frying, can't get aromatic ginger, can I use regular ginger powder?
No soaking! Just fry it one time. Also regular ginger and the kentjur, are not exactly the same, but I don't think you'll notice a huge diff. I say go ahead try it out☺️

What kind of oil? Peanut? Olive? Vegetable? Does it matter?
I used sunflower oil
