Starlight Express 28/6/24 ✔️ . the finale magamix end show

we went to see the NEW Andrew Lloyd Webber STARLIGHT EXPRESS for our wedding anniversary. The show is very similar for the original in the 80s but with a modern upgrade.

I was there on Thursday, 27th of June, and for the matinée Ashlyn Weekes covered as Pearl, Bethany Rose Lythgoe covered as Belle and Gary Sheridan covered as Hydra.
On Thursday, Ashlyn's costume wasn't complete yet, she did the show without the whole breast plate and main skirt.
As for Gary, they've already covered as Hydra on Wednesday, 26th of June, and they did fantastic - even did a cartwheel on the ramp multiple times!

Notable cover performances: Ashlyn Weekes as Pearl, Marianthe Panas as Belle (possibly their debuts in these roles if not the show overall?), and Gary Sheridan as Hydra.

I'm 64 and I don't get excited about stuff anymore BUT I am just sooooooo excited to be seeing this in a few weeks time! I've seen several close up videos of this mega mix but it's great to see it from further back, there is SO much going on!! There's a new song which is already my favourite and I've not even seen it yet! :-) "I am Me" at 55 seconds! - LOVE Rusty & Dinah's costumes - Gary

Why is pearls cover costume different(missing front of her skirt) but belles cover costume is the same?

Given that Kayna Montecillo is 4'11" and Ashlyn Weekes is 5'8", sizing would be a solid guess. Perhaps Belle's performers being much more close in height at 5'3"-5'8", could more easily use all or part of the main costume or had their alternative costumes ready to hand and Pearl's wasn't ready for Ashlyn yet.
