thanks so much Johan!! 😊😁 these videos are something I wish I had as an incoming student, so I'm really glad you're enjoying them! (and thank you for appreciating the time too!! 🥺 will do my best to film more over the summer! 😉)
I watched parts 1 and 2 of this several months ago when I was beginning my college application journey, and I think it's safe to say that your videos are essentially why I fell in love with the core! Thank you so much - I applied ED & I'll be joining the Class of 2025 :)
Hi Annie! You just put the biggest smile on my face 😄❤️ I’m so happy you’ll be joining us next year! Getting in was ALL YOU-congratulations baby lion!! 🥰🦁
This is so exciting! When you talk about the foreign language requirements, can you talk about the pros/cons of picking up a new language vs continuing with your high school foreign language? I’d love to learn Arabic but am unsure whether I could do it for four semesters. Thanks for the videos-they are extremely helpful!
Hi Suleyman! great question! just posted part 2 to the Core, and will try to more specifically answer your question in a future q&a :) thank you for the support!
Your videos are perfect! I love their structure and organization. You were exactly on point while informing and giving your insight on the core curriculum. I can see that you care a lot about the quality of your work and I love it! Thanks!!
Ur top is super cute in you! Thanks for the video. As an incoming freshman it was so informative so just imagine how all ur vids help prospective students!✨💖
Really cannot focus on the curriculum thing, cause someone superduper beautiful in this video is just sooooo distracting hahahaha! 加油呀Caroline! 你是最棒的!支持你!
Thank you for providing such a thorough and informative video. Is the Core curriculum you describe here what students in SEAS will take also? If not, how would it differ fo them? Thank you, Caroline!
Hi Debbie! Thanks for your comment and great questions! 😁 The SEAS core is slightly different from the CC core-here’s a link with some more details! undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/ask/faq/question/2362 Hope this helps! ☺️
@@CarolineChen thank you for your quick reply and for your willingness to help others. It is very much appreciated! Hope you are having a good semester 😊 All the best to you!
Hi Wonkyung! Great question :) I would say that of the two, UW was more challenging for me-but the challenge was worth it because I really grew a lot! My professors for both UW and FroSci were amazing, which made for enjoyable experiences in both courses 😊
Hi! Yes, the swim test & PE are required for Columbia College. Taking a swimming class for PE can fulfill the swim test requirement for people who don’t know how to swim 😊
Wow this is SO AMAZING!! As an incoming freshman, I really appreciate the time that you take to make these types of videos and give all this advice

What would you say is harder, and what would you say you enjoyed more: Fro Sci, or U Writing?
Hi Wonkyung! Great question :) I would say that of the two, UW was more challenging for me-but the challenge was worth it because I really grew a lot! My professors for both UW and FroSci were amazing, which made for enjoyable experiences in both courses 😊
you looks like Annie in Community, with wisdom
Am I crazy? Why do I really wanna take these classes
hi! i just wanted to ask if there are any programs that are like 'underrated' or 'unknown' that undergrads should maybe pay more attention to?
Hi! Do you mean programs of study (majors and such) or activities outside the classroom? :)
@@CarolineChen both! but more so on activities or research opportunities/etc
@@CarolineChen Here in Brazil, I liked your videos.
Could you please, sent me a link for a site, with more details about the Core Curriculum?
Hi Caroline!!!! I love your videos, I'll be applying to Columbia in November and was wondering if your open to reading essays?
Hi
Is the School of General Studies as prestigious and Columbia College and SEAS?
Thank you!
Mam,
I want your mail because I am applying to columbia this year and I want you to answer my questions.I am a International student
Hi! I was wondering is Swim test/Phys Ed required ? And if it is then what about people who cannot swim ?😅
Hi! Yes, the swim test & PE are required for Columbia College. Taking a swimming class for PE can fulfill the swim test requirement for people who don’t know how to swim 😊
Caroline Chen thanks! One more question, what about the chemistry department of CC? Is it good?😅
Here in Brazil, we have a terrible educational system.
What is Fro Sci?
