This car, in my view, is the most stylish SUV. It actually looks sporty although it obviously isnt. But then if you want a sporty car you don't buy an SUV. Which is the obvious reposte to all those petrol head motoring journalists who criticise the way it handles. Believe me it's fine and it's easily the most comfortable car I've ever driven. The electrically adjusted drivers seat really hugs you so it's superb for a long run. You also get a lot for your money and with that 7 year warranty what's not to like.
Great Review. Three things that I believe could be useful to include in reviews are the throttle response, body roll, motorway insulation.

Two years ago I part-exchanged a 2012 VW Touran I.6 SE semi-auto with 71,000 miles on it which I'd owned for the previous two dreadful years for a 2017 Carens 3 diesel auto. Unlike the wretched VW the Carens has needed no visits to the garage other than for servicing in 20,000 miles. It just goes, and it looks like it'll keep on going. I appreciate it's a much younger car but I have to say the quality of the cabin and controls is also streets ahead of the nasty grey plasticy and fragile fittings in the VW. Only thing I didn't like was the non-adjustable and too-low front passenger seat.
Hi it does look very smart and that the Kia warrant you can't go far wrong but I think the price is a bit too expensive for a Kia let's face it there are probably slightly better cars out there for the price cheers Phil
I have a 2015 Caren’s middle trim and I am not selling it anytime soon

Would this car be better in petrol or diesel?
to me a 1.7L diesel it suits the car
Amazing that a 20% variance in the actual and advertised fuel economy can be shrugged off as "not that bad". Of course, it's not the Carens that's at fault, it is the industry standard. But honestly, how can the standard be acceptable if it is so misleading and so far off the mark? The industry testing standard absolutely must be changed.

agreed, bugged me for a long time, nothing short of fraud and totally unachievable in the real world. I hope the new tests are a lot more realistic
You think this is better looking than rivals? It's as dull as dishwater. The current Citroën Picasso is the best looking MPV to have been sold in the UK.
