Much more interesting than I expected. I’m surprised how much power loss there was. By extension, you’d have to expect a similar reduction in fuel economy...
When will Mac make the cruisers lockers work any time, before he goes to harrop lockers. Been wanting to do it for ages but no one does a kit.. money to be made
No offence to the nav or any modern vehicle, they're awesome, but my 2006 4jh1 rodeo with 33s, 3" lift and minor engine mods like an egr delete etc went from 69hp 215nm to 120hp 430nm prior to doing an exhaust and upgraded intercooler, seems that the new rigs have less in the bag to work with
(FREE HACK FOR REAR LOCKER Hilux) behind the side panel under the dash on the driver side there is 9 wires, the purple with red stripe wire cut it off and tape it and the green with white stripe wire cut and ground it then your rear locker works in 2x4, 4x4 and low range with the factory switch...
Gearing won’t change the figures, just the rpm. Some wheels will change the power more/less than others depending on the weight. The rotating mass is what kills power/torque
You can think of tires as a gear. So your axle ratio can directly compensate the change in tire size and bring your final drive ratio back to factory However it can’t directly combat the extra weight. The tire is both heavier in its entirety and the weight is further from the point of rotation.
The Lego man hair cut
Bit fuckin minced ayy
I’ll fire my stylist 😆
New mod to the fringe too

“I was thinkin of repowdercoating them, but nah I’ll just replace em”… yup. TJ must be a sparky 😂 💸

Caesar Cut 👌👌
Rear locker for skidsss (when in Mexico)
Must have Lost a bet with that hair cut 😂
Hey TJ What is the stock tyre size on the stock nav rims and the tyre size of your bigger tyres?
?
Good video TJ
It would be interesting to regear it and then test the difference on the street.
with the massive increase in torque across the rev range and especially down low, you won't feel the larger tyres over the stock tune/tyres.
too good
It’s a 4wd 😂
Slow & steady mate🙊
The older you get the wiser you become😜

Theyre pretty capable little motors and then some.
DPF enters the chat... Power leaves the chat... haha
@@TJANDMAC fair point didn't consider that
Out of interest what are the tyre sizes before and after?
standard nav makes more power to the wheels than a standard 79 😂

Haircuts that make you want to wear a hat 😂
Crazy the dip in power once the muds were thrown on. What would lessen that drop? Gearing?

Ya sunnies, my favs, lost em, what sort are they LIIVE what?
Any idea if taking the car to a dealer mechanic for a standard service "resets" the tune?
If the dealer does a software update it will wipe the tune. We keep stock and tuned files here all the time so can change back at anytime

Dirty engine bay, hair gel delete and it still made power 😳
