I must give this company credit though, all their ideas and products are original unlike all of these other Temu or Ali Express brands that STEAL original creator’s designs and instructions for their own product.
This is such a weird combination of stuff; it is based off the muesum building/interior from the BBC 2010 drama, but the figures are classic Sherlock Holmes (granted the figures are separate). As a fan of the show I do like that it's based off of it and isn't just 'classic Holmes'.
My guess is that the original depiction of the characters is in public domain

Ryan reviewing these sets is a warning to lego: There are other building block companies out there, competition is good and will help keeps prices down, etc.

Love these Pantasy sets! People complaining that Ryan is reviewing other brands need to understand that the Lego snobbery is just where Lego wants you to be so they can continue to overcharge for their sets because they have you right where they want you. There's a lot of other building set options out there that are more creative, daring to cover subjects Lego is to wimpy or picky to cover, doesn't use stickers and actually gives you value for your money. Lego needs competition in a really bad way. They've had it too good for too long and they've gotten too comfortable in their success.
FUN FACT: The patent for the Lego brick expired in the 80s so technically as long as they are doing sets that are not similar to Lego like Cobi.

i’m not interested in this but we should be encouraging that he takes these ads, competition for lego can only be a good thing for their product they’ve gotten comfortable at the top of the market

The lego modulars are built on baseplates which are smaller than a plate. The modular you feature here are built on a plate. Therefore, the pins won't line up and cannot easily get clipped together.
just swap it out before you start, a lot people do MILS plates now anyway too

I didn't expect you to review not official lego sets, it's a surprising change, considering you usually tend to critisize them.
I think it's more about criticizing sets that are directly stealing from other companies
I think he's a strong critic of brands/manufacturers who steal designs directly from existing Lego sets or, even more disgracefully, from public MOC designers.
Brands that pay for designers to design their sets and cover brands and ideas that Lego isn't involved with is great imo.
@@jamescarroll384 Exactly, Pantasy has and pays for a License for Astro Boy, Popeye etc, but Lepin steals from Moc Builders and directly from Lego etc. Also MEGA has legit Pokemon sets and other things. I think people get hung up on Lego being the end all by all brand for Block Construction Toys.
Pantasy are as legit as lego because they collaborate wirh a bunch of IP's for their sets.

On Amazon the Baker Street building shows as 16.5 inches. Which is kind of tall. Is this taller than say the Lego bookshop? I have searched and can't find any pictures showing the Pantasy building next to a Lego building. I'm guessing that you can't because you are reviewing, but if anyone else can post a picture of a Lego modular and a Pantasy modular next to each other, somewhere, maybe Reddit, that would be great!

Well, it seems like you can put LEGO Minifigures in containers from the upcoming Gumball Machine Ideas set.
I don't know if you can help me with this but every time I open a Lego set after I'm done building the set and I close the box the top of it pops out and I can never close the boxes

I will personally not buy these Lego alternatives, but I think it is good for the industry if these alternatives are promoted so that Lego actually has to try and offer better sets (at a better price)

these sets have gobricks. at the moment im building an other set with gobricks and i have to confirm the quality of these bricks is superb. They supersede the danish bricks (eg the mouldspots). these are the best quality bricks u can buy. price is nice. makes u think if danish prices are to high cause of percieved monopoly.

I get offers from these brands all the time on my channel, and I haven’t sold out to them yet, and I only have a 10k subs. With all his subs and revenue it’s sad that he took that cash and sold out.
