Very exciting! You even stated your rubber band and steel ball sizes which was helpful for a newbie like me and of course the highlight was hitting with the rocks. Bon appetit!
You rock young man. As a kid l used to hunt pigeons and other birds with rocks. Trick was to find a resonable sized well rounded stone and hunt with slingshot from a tree fork.
Luvwhat you're doing with the hunting and slingshot. The frame is beautiful.I wouldn't mind having one if I knew where to get one. Mushrooms are a great choice with your grouse. Bon appetite
Not to many of your frames that aren't my favourite 😍..lol.. great content and great videos, not surprised your channel's blowing up💪.. keep up the great work buddy👊!!
Brother, you are an amazing shot. I used to shoot slingshots all the time when i was a kid in the 70's and 80's. Have you ever tried lead balls? My dad shot .50 cal. lead balls out of an old wrist rocket and it was deadly. I love the look of your slingshots. I have never used flat bands before.
@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans By the way, I really like your hunting videos, and the way you make slinshots, I'm from El Salavador, greetings. (I use a translator 😅)
What's the last thing that goes through a grouse's head before dinner? Usually a 7/16 steel...... But sometimes a rock.😅 I love that you didn't forget (at the moment of truth) a slingshots "roots" are based on found ammo! Great shooting as always. Thanks for bringing us along!
Do you ever make bands like what you use for sale? Or can you recommend a site for me if you know one? I haven’t gotten to the point where it would be worth it to do myself yet, but I can only find a couple places that sell them, and almost none that sell tapered bands
@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans So what would be the minimum size bands you would use? I definitely find the heavier the band, the worse my aim. And are there band materials, dimensions you prefer? A few tips would save me a load of time when I do finally get fed up and set up for myself.

It's great fun! I used to shoot lead. I still have the moulds and stuff. Steel is more convenient and I can take waterfowl with it.

What would you recommend for hunting pigeons, as in the band and ammo type?
Any matched bandset and steel ammo will work. From 8 mm to 15 mm steel, or lead. It all works as long as you match your bands to it.

@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans What factors effect your choice of latex band thickness? For example, why 0.7 over 0.6 or 0.8?
@@Aerzon1v1 I like the punch of 11 mm steel. .7 moves tha size ammo at a speed that kills cleanly and is reasonably easy to draw.

Simple-shot.com, Omegaslings.com, KCBBANDS on Facebook.
It is definitely worth it to buy a roll and a rolly cutter and make your own. It's not very expensive and it gives you the freedom to experiment.
