Patterned paper for the win! Mine is under lock and key, ha! I'm beginning to see my lovely layers dies with a new eye. Thank you for the beautiful card and new ideas.
I hear you. Those papers are so pretty! I have this one 12x12 piece of patterned paper that I have had for 5 years with the intention of using it for a wedding card. Last year I had 3 weddings to attend and I did not use my horded paper on any of them.
Thank you for using your beautiful precious patterned paper to make a card for all of us! Great idea! I will have to try this with some of my papers that I have sitting around and forget to use.
How cool is this flower made with patterned paper. This is a great technique and plan to use it for some of those patterned papers that I never seem to get out. Thank you.
Really cool Iris. I had to laugh when u said u went out to look @ the buds on ur roses every hour. Haha. I’m the same way w/ the flowering trees. Thanks for opportunity for the giveaway on the blog hop.
I thought this was a beautiful watercolor painting! What an amazing idea to die cut from a painterly looking pattern paper and then adding some inking. I don't buy patterned paper but I have lots of "failed" paintings that I could probably die cut from. And the dark background adds so much. Like you said, it's very dramatic. With Honeybee I tend to go for realism, but I need to branch out. Thank you for inspiring me. Cutting into that patterned paper was SO worth it, in my opinion.
I have a lot of trouble using my patterned papers, I buy them because I love them and like to look at them. lol I have so much paper. I love my Iris flowers; one whole side of my house is nothing but irises in all of their color and glory!
I bought this die and am trying to figure out how to blend using alcohol inks pens as my inks are rather limited right now. I have a few inks, and some blending brushes, so maybe I can experiment using those colors. I do agree with the layering. Lovely layers make beautiful products without too much thinking.
Hi Lydia. Your card is gorgeous. At first I though you made an alcohol design on Yupo paper and cut it with dies. This is Genius! So quick, easy and beautiful, except for the sad loss of paper😞 When you saw a crab in the image in the second layer I saw a big spider shape🕷❤
I love stepping outside the box for a different color is the Iris. Beautiful. ❤ 💐
Thank you!
Color blending is everything when it comes to creating dimension. It does take patience! 😮 so pretty!
