Putok (explode) Batok (nape) - translates to the nauseating feeling when you consume too much cholesterol that makes your nape feels like it's about to explode.

we Filipinos are not really aware of the caloric content in food because we're not used to counting them. it's not something our department of health has implemented in restaurants. i know in some places in other countries, the calories of food they order are even displayed on the menu. only health buffs here are aware and concerned about the calories they consume.

Internal organs are wash by salt and vinegar until they smell clean and fresh. Filipinos lerned to cook internal organs and other parts of pig, cow and chicken that the spaniards not wanted in their cooking, so the filipino cooks in spaniards household brought home this "wastes" and invent cuisne out of this. And until now we still eating these kind of food. Then garlic is ready to chew if u r feeling that ur bp is rising. Chew garlic it is alternative/herbal medicine for highbblood.👍

Batok or Nape (back of the neck)
It's an exaggerated description of the feeling at the back of your neck when your blood pressure goes on overdrive.
