Originally from the 1993 "Kinetic Engineering" VHS tape. I took this copy from the Cleopatra Records "Industrial Revolution" DVD for best quality, added CD audio, and restored the intro from the original video (missing on the DVD). Phew!

Someone knows how this music video was made? I mean, its clearly cut frame by frame, but how it was edited? Thanks
I don't know the specifics, but I know the original visuals were created on an Amiga. It's possible that the "flickering" inversion effect was done entirely in the computer.
The Amiga has video output, so I originally assumed this was edited on videotape, but in fact the framing around the edges shifts around quite a bit so maybe it was transferred to film and edited on film instead. You can get this kind of rapid editing on film, it just takes a lot of work. For a more "analog" example of this see the Cabaret Voltaire videos on my channel.
Digital video editing was already a thing in 1993, but I doubt they used it here since the systems were very expensive and AFAIK the output quality wasn't great. It matured pretty quickly though -- by 1995 you had groups like Emergency Broadcast Network making some crazy videos with it: ua-cam.com/video/oQZsKWV4mDo/v-deo.html

It was actually never confirmed if he really was a fan of Clock Dva. From what I read it was an urban legend that originated from a tabloid magazine in the early 90's and there isn't really any concrete evidence to back it up.
It's cool and everything but vvould've been nice to see vvords like HAMPTON ROADS, NORFOLK, ACELDAMA, etc. shovv up.
