Why would someone as mature as Betty, who sang "When you are young they assume you know nothing" and "I knew..." get back together with someone who is so mismatched with her that he says "I don't know anything, but I know I miss you"? Imagine thinking you found love and realizing you were just someone’s summer fling and they were dreaming about another woman/girl the entire time you were together and you hold onto that last shred of hope of love.
