    now, correct me if im wrong but after 3:13 ive come to conclusion that with associative property, we can just ignore the parentheses and just multiply the number, if (ab)c = a (bc) then wont it be easier if we just multiply abc = abc?
    if
    a= 2
    b= 3
    c= 4
    • (ab)c = a(bc)
    (2.3) 4 = 2 (3.4)
    6.4 = 2.12
    24 = 24.
    • abc = abc
    2.3.4 = 2.3.4
    24 = 24
    am i right??

      You are right , but it's a rule brother sometimes you get equations in the questions which involve parentheses. Parentheses are used cuz they are followed by a rule BODMAS
      We have to calculate or simplify the terms in the bracket or parentheses first then the other according to this bodmas rule .

      B- bracket
      O-order
      D-divison
      M-multiplication
      A-addition
      S-subtraction
      The Bodmas rule states that division and multiplication must be done before addition and subtraction in any mathematical example. And if there are brackets (or parentheses) and (orders of powers or roots), these must be done first of all.

    hello Organic chemistry teacher I have just started more complex geometry (or at least more than I am used to) and I looked through your channel to find something that would help me out but I couldn't so if you could please run through how to find the height and volume of a cylinder with only the radius (and other variations)?

    inverse property proof: a*(b/c)=ab/c therefore, if c=a, b=1, and a does not equal 0, a*(1/a)=a/a=1
    all the other properties must be self explanatory
