@rasheedcampbell2973 I'm having this issue. Isn't that vacuum line what controls the turbo on pwg cars? If so, will disconnecting it cause issues? I've got about 30 miles on my rebuild and really don't want to have to tear the vacuum pump off again so if it's the valve cover, that's an easy fix
Did you ever figure out if this was the vacuum pump or not? Mine has the same noise that goes away after warmup

I solved it. Loose the vacuum line on the valve cover the one that goes to the vacuum pump. The noise will go away. The valve cover is bad

Erkin Dilbazi definitely vacuum or HPFP, replacements still make the same noise.
Sugarhouse Garage I also changed the vacuum pump but couldn’t get rid of the noise.
Ypu need to smoke test it and everything asap

Loose the vacuum line that runs from the vacuum pump to the valve cover it will go away. The valve cover is defective.
