The Hammer is back to talk about his good friend Paul Orndorff, who recently passed away. Mr Wonderful had a major WWF run including a headline match at the first Wrestlemania vs Hulk Hogan (tag match).
Valentine and Orndorff knew each other from back in the Mid-Atlantic days, before they both went to Vince McMahon's WWF.
Rumor has it that Paul Orndorff was the Wrestlemania III replacement for Andre the Giant, in case he was too ill to wrestle Hulk Hogan. Orndorff and Hogan had a cage match on Saturday Night's Main event just a couple months before then.

Greg's voice is very soothing and relaxing. I listen to the clips and they both, help me fall asleep and keep me entertained with tales and opinions on an era of wrestling I loved.
I saw Mr. Wonderful Paul The World Orndorff, The Nature Boy Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Tony The World Atlas & the Junkyard Dog @Cow Palace in the 70s & 80s, good times! 🤼♂️🏋
Trained with Paul and the 80s through 2005 in the gym. He was always a Class Act. A true gentleman
I feel bad for Hammer when he says "ive been missing a lot of guys lately". Class act. He's still got Millions of fans like myself from the 80's who love him even if he doesn't know us personally. RIP Mr. Wonderful.
I was a kid when Hammer was in his prime. I liked him but he wasn't even close to being one of my favs. Now, with that said, I like Hammer better than ANY wrestlers after the attitude era. That should tell you how far wrestling has deteriorated
My great grandfather told me once, "there comes a time in life when a man is the only one left"
Well said
Seriously
@SmithCommaBenjamin *"My great grandfather told me once, "there comes a time in life when a man is the only one left"*
Say what! Was your grandfather loaded or senile as hell when he told you that? Implies that every man of a group is the last to die in that group.
The Hammer's tribute to his friend and colleague is truly heartfelt...RIP Mr. Wonderful.
One of my friends growing up was an athletic kid, he used to mimic kissing his own biceps like Mr. Wonderful. Great wreslter.
R.I.P Mr. Wonderful. Thanks for the years of great entertainment.
Beautiful eulogy
The guy who played one of the greatest heels is actually one of the coolest dudes. What a great storyteller Greg is.
Compliments to the interviewer - he let’s Greg tell his story uninterrupted
Agreed. He asks the right questions, has all his facts and let’s Greg open up. In contrast to his heel facade, Greg seems like the finest of gentlemen!
Thank you so much, we appreciate you watching
Not like that Boston Wrestling jerk
Ya!
Agreed💯 Great job on these interviews.
I can't get enough of "The Hammer", he is a wrestling treasure.
Thats pain man,he’s lost so many friends
You can see it in his eyes this isn’t easy for him,God bless Greg the Hammer Valentine!
You're absolutely correct. I thought the same thing. Yes, God bless Greg Valentine.
The "Hammer" is probably the Classiest old school wrestler of all time. He speaks highly & respectfully of everyone.
I love Greg ! He never has a band thing to say about anyone. He's a true class act. Just a big hearted, good guy.
When I was 12 years old I love to watch these guys wrestle fast forward 30 years I love to watch these guys tell stories on UA-cam about the old days.
Valentine is such a classy guy. I know Orndorff was his friend but he genuinely seems to have something positive to say about almost everyone he worked with. Just seems like a guy who sees the good in everyone.
Greg is total integrity...you can take every word as truth..he never had the makings of a politician
He would make the best politician!
Politics is the antithesis of liberty, truth and justice/ In politics, stupidity is not a handicap/ Voting is akin to choosing your method of execution/ Why do people vote? Flies are attracted to shit/
RIP Paul Orndorff. You are one of my favorites in the 80's WWF.
U should have been the WWF champion, Wonderful.
I have yet to see The Hammer say anything negative about anyone he worked with. Such a class act. Love hearing as he shares memories of the days gone by.
I could listen to the Hammer tell stories 24/7. Such a great wrestler and talent, just seems like a hell of a guy to share a steak and a few drinks with, while listening to him talk about his career.
He needs to do a podcast if he wants to that is
Greg always has great stories , so thank you interviewer for letting him continue without interruption. The Hammer is a good man. So was Mr. Wonderful. Those two are one of a kind
Greg was such a great heel. He was old school. He used actual holds and his wrestling was always truly believable, not like these cartoon characters today.
Watching all these clips from Greg has been a joy. He was right there in the middle of my favorite years of WWF wrestling. Love hearing what he has to say. RIP Mr. Wonderful. One of my favorites ever.
I have become a fan of the Hammer listening to his interviews
I loved watching Greg Valentine when I was a teenager in the early- mid 80's, and forward. Listening to your interviews, I have become an even bigger fan. Your kindness and humility, and the fact you don't bad mouth your peers, is just refreshing. Best to you, and will keep watching.
Greg loves every wrestler in every interview
That is true, Don Muraco does the same thing too lol everyone is nice ..
God, I love Greg Valentine! Best interview ever! So polite and articulate. And what a memory he has!
I love how he said wrestling heaven
That was such a sweet warm moment. You could see him seeing Wrestlemania and big crowd in his eyes. The sparkle was there. What a moment captured
Love listening to the hammer’s stories.
Saw Paul come walking down the hall at the old Hamilton YMCA. Couldn't believe it. He poked around in the weight room but mostly hung out and joked with the old guys.
God Bless Greg "The Hammer" Valentine! You were one of the greatest villains of all time. Great entertainer who made it very believable.
Bless you Greg. Thanks for all the amazing memories.
Greg is more entertaining than anything on RAW today
Listening to Greg "The Hammer" Valentine speak this way about Mr. Wonderful and the business, just fills my heart with joy. These men might never know the full impact that they had on fans, but I sure do.
Paul and the Hammer were such legends, still are really
Greg The Hammer is such a Class Act.
A great athlete from The Golden Years of Wrestling. Im so happy i got to enjoy these guys in my youth. Kids now adays have no idea how great Wrestling was back then. Just look at the names of the Wrestlers and compare them to the ones today. No Comparison Wrestlers in the 80s-Early 90s win.
Greg Valentine never dogs on anyone. What a classy guy and wrestling legend.
Paul Orndoff (RiP), Greg Valentine, Rick Rude (RiP), and Ric Flair had the most beautiful ring robes in the industry’s history. Randy Savage’s (RiP) wore a beautiful cape-type robe. Wrestling heaven? Hopefully. 🥺
The Hammer
Could listen to your story’s all day.
The Hammer is the reason my little brothers suffered hundreds of Figure 4 Leglocks growing up, thx Hammer. :)
Greg always looked like the meanest guy on the planet, but he's actually a really cool human being. What a pro. And Orndorff was so smooth. I'm not sure what his training was like, but he looked like a natural. Like everything he did just came easily to him. I remember watching him in WCW as a kid and loved all his matches. He was soooo good at playing that chicken shit heel that took time outs and cried when you chanted "Paula" lol but when he got heat on you, it looked like he was strategically disecting his opponents. He was like a shark that smelled blood. R.I.P. Paul.
Harley was the same way.
"I'm missing Paul."
I felt that one deep in my soul. :-(
Hammer really seems like a genuine class act. A lot of his peers have past away. Must be hard to talk about without getting emotional.
These shoot clips with The Hammer are the best shoot clips on all of YT right now. I never would've guessed Valentine was so warm and engaging. His tribute to Orndorff got me a little dusty in the eyes.
Greg displaying what having real class is all about. Respect.
It’s amazing how much detail the Hammer remembers. He remembers dates, locations and the events. I would figure his memory would be spotty with all of the wear and tear on his body and head throughout the years.
At 55 years old I’m a fan that watched Greg … I can’t say I’ve ever seen him smile talk about judging a book by its cover .. what a decent human being never a negative thing to say about anyone what a class act
Binging and loving these interview clips with The Hammer he was one of my favorites-As I watch them more and more I want to cry so badly when I think of how he’s feeling about how many of his friends and colleagues he’s lost God Bless YOU Hammer I am so thankful and am appreciating him that he’s still here with us to share these wonderful memories and stories.
The more of these interviews I see with The Hammer the more respect I have for him.
These interviews get better and better
Rest in peace Mr Wonderful
Paul Orndorff was, in a word, wonderful.
Greg Valentine is a pure class act. His stories are awesome and he always speaks so highly of everyone.
Greg is one of the best interviews in my opinion.
His interviews are the best. Always complimentary and doesnt bash everyone.
I never realized how much Greg Valentine really meant to wrestling. Man was a titan.
It has to be tough when all your contemporaries start to pass away and you are watching it happen all around you. Greg seems like such a mellow guy and he was an excellent worker.
This is how LEGENDS should talk about each other...
Mr wonderful is the guy we loved to hate in a good way, sadly he is gone, however he will never be forgotten
Greg Valentine, my personal favorite person to listen to in these shoot interviews
Greg Valentine seems like such a genuine down to Earth guy and I have a new respect for him after listening to all these great stories and memories!
Orndorff and Valentine - Two of my favorite heels ever
"I have the body that women love, and that men love............to hate" RIP Orndorff
MAN, how many interviews do you do with the great Hammer, and how often?! WOW! Thank you again SO MUCH, Title Match.
It's a somber subject for everyone, to be sure, but I'm really glad Greg is willing to talk about his awesome friend and colleague so soon after his passing. And as always you bring the amazing content.
Take care!
I used to see Orndorff in a local gym regularly. Always kind of kept to himself, but nice guy when you interacted with him.
Greg Valentine was a great wrestler. He is genuine and never says anything negative about anyone.
I love seeing the nice side if Greg Valentine he is just a class act and tells it straight. Great interviews and just a great person.
Greg we miss and are happy to see U doing Well
I'd like to hear more from the Hammer !
Greg Valentine is great I can listen to him all day long
Greg gives some of the best wrestler interviews.
The first time I clicked on a clip from one of the Hammers shoots I thought it might be interesting, I never would have guessed he would become my favorite wrestler to hear do these interviews. He is a great storyteller who seems sincere in what he says and is a really good guy.
I met Mr Valentine a few years ago and he was a super nice guy. Joking , funny and just down to earth.
These are great interviews with Greg!! Thanks for doing this and thank Greg for us, all of us!!
He never says a bad thing about anyone ❤
Paul Ondorff was absolute class when I met him.
He could be TOOLBAG too at times though 🙄
Your a class act Greg Valentine. Was always a fan of yours. My brother hated me putting the “Figure Four” on him. 😂
God bless Paul. I met him once at LGA airport in NY. Took the time to chat with me about diferent topics wrestling and non wrestling.
The Hammer is the man, too.
I had the pleasure of meeting Greg at an indie show & he was so nice to my son.
The man has class.
Greg was never given enough credit.glad he is doing good
Oh cool, so you guys did a second interview with the Hammer? Great job! ✌
The Hammer is as credible a witness as The Body. Much respect. RIP Mr. Wonderful. And thank you for the post. July 21 FL USA
Can’t believe He still has that Hair. God Bless Him. 🙏
I loved watching them back in the day.
Love and respect for the HAMMER. Dude has 💯 chill!
Loved Mr. WONDERFUL. He was great. Loved the Hammer too. Wrestling was so awesome back then.
To me the golden age of wrestling thanks hammer
There will never be another personality like him
I'm so lucky to have lived in the time that I do. The wrestlers I have to thank for all thier hard work and entertaining me. Godbless you all
Thanks for that Mr. Valentine. I love seeing the love for his fellow wrestlers.
The Hammer seems like a great guy.
Never got a bad word to say , hope he stays that way.
I despised The Hammer when I was a kid... to hear him talking so highly of all these other wrestlers is really kind of mind blowing...
Greg seems like a cool guy. I would love to have a couple beers with him and talk wrestling all night. Great worker too.
I watch more of Greg’s shoot than any other.
I've been watching many of these Valentine interviews as he talks about other wrestlers. Each time he has a chance to say something negative about someone, he turns it around and compliments them. What a class act! As a kid I hated the Hammer since he was a heel and always came across as so mean. It just shows what a great job he did on selling his character. As I watch these kind of interviews I'm amazed how many "villains" were actually great guys in real life, and also how some of my wrestling "heroes" had questionable reputations.
When Orndorff came out in WCW in 2000 to arm wrestle Staziak was AWESOME 💪👍 HE LOOKED BETTER THAN EVER THEN AT 60
In the mid 80's i was at a bar in Bartlett IL.called Lee B's.I was there with a girl and I told her "that's the Hammer!" . She walked up to him and said "hi Mr. Hammer,How are you?" And with the meanest face yelled"did I say you could talk to me?!!" It scared the hell outta her. It was pretty funny. But he looked like someone you wouldn't want to mess with!
You know Mr. Valentine. You are one class act. A mans man. A damn good worker and tough as shit.
Long Live Hammer !!!
The Hammer was one of the best. He played his character brilliantly.
I have so much respect for you Greg
🏋🤼♂️Loved Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff RIP, I used to watch him all the time on the Superstation WTBS on NWA and WCW Wrestling with Gordon Solie, good times!
More stories Hammer please!!!!!
Whenever he keeps saying about guys passing away, I'm getting the feeling Greg will still be doing these interviews 50 years from now cuz he's going to live forever
I could listen to The Hammer for day's. I have a renewed respect for him. Great interview!!!!
Every chance these guys can get to be together, from the 70s-80s, they need to do it. They’re getting away from us, and their flowers are long overdue!👍🏾🙏🏾
