And what's the maximum number of characters you can have in a party? 5, with the 5th one being a trial character. And Furina is a character being put on trial. Hoyodevs are geniuses. Disclaimer: I did not come to this conclusion on my own, it was pointed out by other peeps on Genshin forums.

I especially love that they're not really fighting (in the parts that are pre-rendered and not gameplay anyway). If you look closely and slow down the footage, a lot of their hits aren't actually connecting (pay attention to Wriothesley's punch at 2:52 for probably the clearest example), and then as soon as Furina poses, all of them stop fighting to pose as well. They're all acting with her.

I just realized this is the first archon who openly gets to interact with their people. No one knows Venti or Zhongli are archons. Ei shut herself in her room. Nahida was trapped in a prison. That makes Furina the first Archon who chills and grills with her people LOL
I agree and disagree; Nahida did gain the freedom and is now actually doing her duties as an archon but it is true that that is a) a new development for her, and b) she is still not used to mingling with the people, and they are not used to mingling with her, as her story quest showed. Same thing for Ei, she tries and fails to mingle with the people… now, but again a new development for her. You do have a point in that Furina is the only archon who was already openly mingling with the people when we met her though

If you look closely, you'll see that from 1:39 to 1:47 she imitates one of the four other Archons with every swing. Even the colour of the background and members of the audience change accordingly. What a beautiful Character Demo!
For refence, since it’s a bit hard to see. The first swing is with Sumaru Citizens, and she just swings normally (well Nahida does so in an idle animation so fairs fair) Next is monstat generic models, and she has a harp in her hand, Then you see a bunch of Inazuma NPC and she is sitting like Ei when we find her meditating in the plane of Euthymia, Finally the easily one to notice is Liyue since she just throws Mora everwhere.
I'm terrified at the fact her teaser is so depressing but we see her demo is actually very fun and wholesome. You just know her story gonna have plot twist
The entire demo is furina wishing how things turned out. It shows her wishing she could beat the whale, wishing she didnt need clorinde and neuvillette, wishing childe was weak, wishing the magic kid was bad at magic, and wishing everyone got along and liked her. The entire thing is her wishing she was more useful.

I think that's because Focalor tricked her people and the heavenly principals into believing she was the real hydro archon (aka Furina) for 500 years. So to others Focalor is Furina because Focalor actually the director or "mastermind".
someone pointed out that ousia vs pneuma is those who wear masks (like neuvilette or lyney) vs those that stay true to themselves (like lynette or wriothesley), which is probably reflected here with furina

Personally, this is the best Character Demo we've gotten in a while now. The cinematography is just amazing in this and the way Furina is presented in this Demo is fantastic. Btw, I just wanna take this moment to mention the scene at 1:53. I love it so much! Just Furina showing herself off to paparazzi with such glamor and elegance. Something about that felt really amazing. And the music was the cherry on top!
i just noticed how her voice here is slightly different to the voice she puts on when she’s in her archon mode, which makes me think that she’s probably genuinely enjoying herself in this trailer rather than putting an act on 😭💖 she seems so much happier as a human now if this is the case

Ayato's demo outright showed us how the resistance got to tenshukaku at the end of the Inazuma quest. This one is in an odd place, but it's likely Furina after she got her vision, or a dream sequence that represents what happened to her after the events of her story quest and the main archon quest.
I think it’s her imagination/dream sequence after the events of 4.2. (Warning: 4.2 story spoilers after this word) She doesn’t get powers until after her story quest (which takes place some time after the AQ). Plus Melus and Silver who show up here are already dead, so it couldn’t have happened in reality after 4.2
This might be the single best character demo Hoyo has ever dropped. You can FEEL exactly what Furina is all about in it, from the duality of her nature to her love of drama. Also gotta love that Childe is now an honorary Fontaine character.

It reminded me of honkai chronicals, specifically otto apocalypse’s. At the end, they called him a clown, a clumsy actor gesturing wildly on the stage,who takes their leave silently and without a bow. I feel like Furina is the essence of letting go, the antithesis.

I dunno why but seeing furina being so giddy and bouncy makes me happy it’s kind of like yoimiya for me she’s so cheery and so bubbly to the point when I started using her my mood felt better. Am I going crazy?! Their character radiates happy vibes in their playstyle
I am thanking the archons that mihoyo rejected Amber (Furina's EN VA) when she auditioned for Eula. The stars aligned with her voicing Furina. literally one of the best EN va performances i have ever witnessed. She can only go up from here, and ill be looking forward to more of her works

Natlan felt more like a experimental lab than a cohesive region. I appreciate the novelty, but I found the established themes of Fontaine, Liyue, etc., more compelling and consistent. I felt like Natlan was trying too hard to be 'trendy' and 'shareable' on social media. I missed the deeper, more established cultural identities of regions in their Characters like Fontaine and Sumeru. Thus said, Natlan world is actually beautiful though, but for me they missed some last important detail to polished it. Probably I will be hated for writing this, but whatever

I really love how, despite Furina being so overly comical, she's the one with the most humanity out of all of the archons. She's just a normal girl who loves entertainment. I can finally relate to an archon! She's definitely my favorite now.

What a well-developed character Furina is, even in such a happy and lively song the lyrics and some events within the demo can make you understand that they are talking about escapism and evading reality (which makes a lot of sense to everything she experienced in the prophecy). The demo begins with a man talking about the incredible play that Furina is about to perform but in the meantime you see the audience going about their daily lives as if that didn't matter while you then cut to Furina's scene where she starts dancing and singing... For some empty seats... That the man talks about the great performance that she is about to do and that it seems that no one cares or no one noticed reflects how Furina is doing the incredible performance of an archon and no one realizes that it is acted. The song tells you that the world is a stage (I mean, everyone is an actor), if you feel like crying then laugh (after all if the world is a stage, you are an actor on it and you should be able to pretend). It can lead you to interpret that you should not show your true feelings to anyone and that makes sense Furina always behaving like a majestic conceited archon with a big smile but in the fountain you could hear her crying begging for everything to end... Just like she says the song, the world is a stage, if you want to cry... LAUGH. (Furina on the verge of madness).

The still shots were role reversal. This demo has so many details. Worth watching multiple times to catch them all. Neuvillette being arrested. Childe running from battle. Lyney in the water tank rather than Lynette. My favorite is the Childe dropkick.

What’s ironic about this is that, it seems like a really fun and wholesome performance, but when you notice that one small detail, where the Performance ended, No One, and I mean, No One, Clapped, except for us Viewers. Furina’s “Performance” led to the Prophecy, where the people of Fontaine disappeared, hence, no cheers nor around of applauses. And it is up to us Viewers, or Travelers, that can turn Her Fate, around.

Another thing I noticed is at 2:32. The key changes to C# which is described to having A pure, certain, and decisive manner, full of innocence, earnestness, and deepest religious feeling. It honestly fits Furina all together.

I think that's because Focalor tricked her people and the heavenly principals into believing she was the real hydro archon (aka Furina) for 500 years. So to others Focalor is Furina because Focalor actually the director or "mastermind".

I missed the deeper, more established cultural identities of regions in their Characters like Fontaine and Sumeru. Thus said, Natlan world is actually beautiful though, but for me they missed some last important detail to polished it.

The Inazuma one is the one where Wriothesley is dueling Clorinde, like our duel before the throne with Signora. The Fontaine one is the last one with Freminet loosing his head just like [redacted] at the end of the Archon Quest 🪓
This is without a doubt one of the most out there and creative demos to date!! I'm obsessed with the world literally becoming her stage.

What a well-developed character Furina is, even in such a happy and lively song the lyrics and some events within the demo can make you understand that they are talking about escapism and evading reality (which makes a lot of sense to everything she experienced in the prophecy). The demo begins with a man talking about the incredible play that Furina is about to perform but in the meantime you see the audience going about their daily lives as if that didn't matter while you then cut to Furina's scene where she starts dancing and singing... For some empty seats... That the man talks about the great performance that she is about to do and that it seems that no one cares or no one noticed reflects how Furina is doing the incredible performance of an archon and no one realizes that it is acted. The song tells you that the world is a stage (I mean, everyone is an actor), if you feel like crying then laugh (after all if the world is a stage, you are an actor on it and you should be able to pretend). It can lead you to interpret that you should not show your true feelings to anyone and that makes sense Furina always behaving like a majestic conceited archon with a big smile but in the fountain you could hear her crying begging for everything to end... Just like she says the song, the world is a stage, if you want to cry... LAUGH. (Furina on the verge of madness).
The fact that Furina's demo is another one of those rare-vocal-and-word songs is spectacular!! Splendid performance! C'est spectacle!

The still shots were role reversal. This demo has so many details. Worth watching multiple times to catch them all. Neuvillette being arrested. Childe running from battle. Lyney in the water tank rather than Lynette. My favorite is the Childe dropkick.

Her personality can be too much and she was really rude to the traveller and Paimon for no reason as soon as they set foot in Fontaine.
Furina's headcanons made me love her more . The Childe dropkick and Neuvilette getting arrested cracked me up.
I kinda dislike her personality, bc she’s very egotistical and I don’t rlly like people like that 😭 and yes I know it’s probably a front and she’s very insecure but doesn’t change how she behaves 💀 the trailer was very fun tho I do like it :3

the opera by the end of the song was genuinely unexpected , but omg it was a GENIUS move . not only does it sound MAJESTIC but the jazzy beat fits furina's character so much . the part i liked most was probably in 2:00 , where the jazz finally kicked in . i refuse to believe this game is free to play , its so amazing

Furina’s demo is so fun and full of smiles! The music is SOO ON POINT, especially the French vocals at the end. All the cast members of Fontaine, especially Childe in the cinematic motions is so refreshing to see! I love her, I LOVE FURINA! Good luck for everyone pulling for her 💙

What’s ironic about this is that, it seems like a really fun and wholesome performance, but when you notice that one small detail, where the Performance ended, No One, and I mean, No One, Clapped, except for us Viewers. Furina’s “Performance” led to the Prophecy, where the people of Fontaine disappeared, hence, no cheers nor around of applauses.
And it is up to us Viewers, or Travelers, that can turn Her Fate, around.

To me, all the Archons are great fits for their lands. More diverse outfits than the characters of HSR in Genshin
Another thing I noticed is at 2:32. The key changes to C# which is described to having A pure, certain, and decisive manner, full of innocence, earnestness, and deepest religious feeling.
It honestly fits Furina all together.
