so what happened was people were complaining that they wanted a purely assassin game but the best selling assassin creed games were actually the RPGs like odessey and vahl. so they decided to make a game with both for the RPG fans u can play as yaskue and for the pure assassin fans u have naoe u can pick which u want. personally the most fun assassin creed I played is odessey but I will admit black flag was great as well but for this game I think I will be doing two playthroughs one as yaskue riding horses and warlording my way to victory and one as naoe sneaking through the shadows and one shotting ppl
@@AniSwiftTVRecaps that’s definitely what they are trying to do, my issue is with the execution, as you say multiple playthroughs focusing on one or the other is an option, but that isn’t the games intent, it wants you to play as both on different situations etc, that then is an issue of a half measure as at that point just have both be able to be played simultaneously like in gtaV Then there’s the issue of having to have everything be so open that it’s never going to be as complex or interesting as any area designed for one or the other playstyle It’s a complicated thing but if you have a method of doing it that works for you, more power to yab
This game reminded me of The Last of Us Part II because of having a stealthy and fast character (Ellie) and another character who goes into direct combat (Abby) and one is skinny and the other is muscular slow and even the mechanic of crawling on the ground reminded me of Tlou
Quality video mate I wont go over my personal history with this franchise cause i have already done that several times on your Twitch streams. But im personaly looking forward to Shadows and as someone who likes the modern games Shadows gameplay looks like a much more refined and fluid version of Odysseys gameplay wich could feel heavy and clumpsy at times Naoes gameplay looks the most fun to me so i can see myself playing as her alot. I do have issues with where Ubisoft decided to take the storyline of Ac in certain places but i do enjoy the games themselves

Rise of the Ronin didn't get much attention when it dropped a few months back, but it has some really cool stealth mechanics and better combat than Ubisoft could ever hope for. Also, you can create your own character.

I’m glad you stated yourself the vid is kinda pointless lmao half of what you pointed out was a pointless nitpick besides the parkour(big deal), the choices affecting gameplay/level design(we still haven’t seen it yet) and her fit being generic(I agree). I get you’re a purist fan(I sort of am myself) but people need to be open to Ubisoft trying new things. Tbh if they didn’t allow people to choose who they play ass they’d complain anyway I think we need to wait until the game is even released and then judge it because the game in itself is a good idea in my opinion but knowing Ubisoft they’ll need to put real effort in for it to be good. The game as a whole is interesting to me but my only real gripe is the parkour AGAIN it really bums me the fuck out man like just fix the fucking parkour they did something amazing years ago with unity and refuse to progress properly it’s frustrating.

Im one of the people who likes AC shadows and is hoping its not bad, but your right on the "you can pick yasuke or naoe in any mission" part, i think it would be fine for some missions but some missions should also be forced yasuke or forced naoe to ensure that people actually play both of them or smth

I really don’t want it to be bad, but I can’t ignore the clear issues with it yeno And i would absolutely rather having a specific yasuke line and a naoie line that intersect regularly for joint missions where you play as both of them, side content can be left majorly for either or, but in main content it’s gonna leave it very bland, not to mention the lack of any story that can be done with the way they say it’s gonna be now
