It's probably a moot point but it was assumed in the show that Rafa was going to play Demon in the second round. He does have to get by the qualifier though.

Cam, since 2020 no one has more wins on clay than RUUD =103 followed by TSITSIPAS with 76.. Djoko only 57... After Rafa RUUD is the New King on this surface.

When was the last time a Masters Main Draw WC was given to a player ranked outside of the top 1000? Seems like a really strange decision when the qualies WCs are all in the top 500.
Looking at Blanch's record I can't see what has prompted what might be the lowest ranked WC ever if not a long time. He won one J300 last year and that's all he has.

everyone is talking only about the guys from top 10...but struff is a finalist here last year and is coming after winning munchen tournament.. i think he will make a nice surprise in this one too..not saying he s going in the final again..but for his style this fast clay court suits him great...i m sure he will knock out some favorites from the underdog position

Rafa's playing because he wants to, and I have no problem with that. No matter what, Rafa will always be the greatest ever to step on to a clay court and that will never change.
He still is the King of Clay and will remain the King of Clay. Nobody will ever win 14 French Open Crowns again.
It’s just my opinion that I wish he would have gone out after winning Roland Garros as the King and yes he will always be the King of Clay. Roger’s retirement was also very anticlimactic and kind of fizzle rather than a blaze. Go out on top sort of thing.

Ruud, Tsitsipas have easy sections. Hope Ruud doesn't have much of a hangover after winning his 1st 500. Rublev has a nice section aa well if he gets over the hump.

Agreed. But look at who got WC for qualies - Reda Benani and Omarkhanov. These kids (16-17 year old) are not even top 10 in juniors, never have been. This is ridiculous. They are UNRANKED. You wouldn’t give them a WC to a 250, let alone masters. IMG has lost their marbles. Benani did win a tiebreak set against Nakashima but lost 1 and 1. Also most Spanish qualifiers lost so they can only regret not supporting their own players.
