When you are lifting that delicate cardstock (@6:36) or other fiddly materials from the mat, I find it helpful to put a sheet of wax paper between what you are lifting and the sticky mat. If you keep moving the wax paper up as you weed, the paper will prevent the project from re-sticking to the mat.

When I'm making 3D pieces, I use pre-cut foam squares for most of it. I hate cutting the foam tape. For the rally skinny sections, I use 0.125" foam dots. They're tiny! To line up the layers, I take off the foam tab backing on a few squares in one area. I stand above, so I'm looking straight down. I use parchment paper between the layers. Once lined up, I pull it out and press down. Then gently lift up other areas and remove the backings, using the parchment paper as well in case I took off too many backings at once

The glitter cardstock really does make it pop. Very pretty! I like the dimension from the foam tape, too. I imagine if it had more than 5 layers or so, though, it may get too bulky. Would love to see the multilayer mandala style with vinyl.

Beautiful! I used this same mandala to make a 5x7 greeting card. It turned out amazing. 😍 I used adhesive spray instead of foam since it was for a card.

I know you uploaded this video a long while ago, but if you didn't know yet. If you cut the double sided foam tape upside down (sticky side up) your scissors won't get as sticky and the cut foam tape will not stick to the blade as much. Hope it helps you in future creations! I loved watching the video!

Can you do a 3D light box like this? I've seen several and they are awesome but no one tells you how to do them. I think the layers are further apart and more of them than these
