Superb video, Simon. Your comments on TV was very perceptive. Don't get me wrong, i like sun, BBQ, beer...... But for me, i hate the summer with a passion. I am 45, doing martial arts in the summer sucks, the gym in the summer sucks, working in the summer sucks, everyone is angry and miserable, because they are so hot and stressed, night time is the worst, hot, humid, sticky, trying too sleep. The sun is great if you don't have too do anything. I lived in South England, most my life, but moved up too Dingwall, 3 years ago, Highlands of Scotland, just outside Inverness, and the summers up here are insane! Seriously, from May till mid September, we genuinely have 18 hours of daylight. No joking, at midnight, you would swear it was afternoon..... I had no idea it was like it up here, and it is depressing as hell. I much prefer Autumn and Winter, cold, ice, snow, picturesque in the Highlands. Decent warm food, cosy evenings in with some quality ales or a few Whiskeys, it is just such a nicer time for me personally, there's something comforting about looking out your window at 1700, and it's dark lol. But i guess, each too their own.
Hi Simon i think the UK is doomed , As the prices are getting so high now where i live near London , No joke im thinking of buying a motorhome and just parking it on a mountain somewhere lol , I actually have a friend called Kate who does that as she cant stand living with other people , Anyway it may be the way its going to end the way its going , I am sorry for your Polish friend , there used to be 3 million Poles here but 2 million have left due to the cost of living and the cold wet weather , I may emigrate to Poland myself haha its just gettign that bad in England no one is friendly anymore.
They are tough as old boots. It's not the cold winter they're bothered about, it's more to do with not wishing to raise their children in such a unsafe, corrupt society which floods young minds with globalist propaganda from primary school onwards.
alcohol can help you get through the winter. so can jam from summer fruits, toasted teacakes, spiced tea or coffee, a good film night on the sofa or at the cinema, little treats built in. a hot bath. alcoholics find themselves choosing alcohol in place of everything and everyone else. that is when it is time to ask for help.

I tried one of these last night. The beef filling is sensational! My god I've never had such beef flavour in 50 years 😅
Takes a bite and cannot speak for a minute ..That's as much recommendation as you could ask for 😊
"That's a stonkingly good pie!" Should ruddy well think so for £7!
IIRC it was actually Tiffany that was run over by Frank Butcher, not Janine.
It's a very nice pie. Wouldn't have it every day, but as a treat, it's worth the money. I also like the Iceland £1 range of pastries, there's about 20 different ones to try now. Horses for courses.
Thanks Simon, good ol' tale, some Charlies on here by some of the comments
Good Grief! That pie looks amazing. My only problem is I have a hard time justifying the price. But that's probably because I'm old and still think in 1990s prices!
We must accept the UK is a terrible place to live
Nice looking pie. Have you tried Pieminister? They are superb and often on offer at about half the price of these. Moo and Blue (steak and blue cheese) is a favourite in our house.
I tried a Moo and Blue pie, but there was hardly any filling. I wouldn't buy another.
I rate their pies very highly
@@smudger671 Ahh thats a shame. I usually find them very generous. Haven't had one for a while, hope they haven't changed!
@@davidk7262 Perhaps I had a bad one.
And only 47g of fat per pie! It’s basically a health food.
Lol
That looked like a really good pie - will check it out. Perhaps with some mash and root vegetables.
Neil Postman's book 'Amusing Ourselves to Death' is a fascating critique of the impact of television on society, written in the 1980s - recommmend. UA-cam and the digital world, mind, is not unrelated.
Looks spectacular - I would want to drench it in some nice quality gravy though.
Certain larger home bargains stores have started to sell German DAB for 5.99
Deserves a good beer to go along with it. Perhaps a ruby ale, but wouldn’t go as far as a stout as the pie is carrying all the weighty goodness already it seems. 🍺
Review the other products in the range like the chicken pie and the treacle tart
We need to bring Charlie back for all our new foreign friends. Charlie don't dump your rubbish wherever you feel like.
"If you don't drink milk, you won't be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley"
Pie looks great but £7, not a chance in hell would I pay THAT!
For 10 quid of fresh ingredients you could ve made 4 pies on your own. Heck, it's mostly dough
Mostly dough? Did you hear how much meat Si said was in it?
Why do people always try this argument, the whole point is convenience, not everyone has time to make 4 pies when they fancy it😂
Of course, but you pay for the convenience. Nothing new there! Are you going stew down that beef, make pastry, etc on a weekday?
FAB , I love M&S food , value for money 💰
Our local butchers pies are 3.50 and are packed with lean beef
@@TheDaveRout do you really want lean beef in a pie though? Wouldnt it be a bit tough?
Looks so good Simon, must try , Caroline Ireland 🇮🇪
@@Cayres9 They also left due to Brexit. My friend left due to the nonsense paperwork. Was a brilliant nurse too.
@@ScottishT Terrible idea Brexit was , We have now Traded good EU migrants for bad 3rd world 🌎 migrants
It's used to be let them eat cake but now it's let them eat7 quid dry pies.
I’m with you on this. Really struggle to watch tv or film with underline social commentary, particularly these days.
This is too posh for you mate, we want to see a big slap up lard pie from Barry Island promenade!
Alcohol plays a part in getting through a long wet British summer!
alcohol can help you get through the winter. so can jam from summer fruits, toasted teacakes, spiced tea or coffee, a good film night on the sofa or at the cinema, little treats built in. a hot bath. alcoholics find themselves choosing alcohol in place of everything and everyone else. that is when it is time to ask for help.
I completely he’s in denial of what he is
Hes an alcoholic
He’s drinking every day 😂😂
His income is made by drinking ale
I’m no angel myself mind
The problem with this country is the pubs are being driven to extinction
Thought I was going mental then. I swore you had done this but it was another channel I watch haha.
Thanks for the Nearest Beer Shop voucher btw. Saved me £6 today. Been using them for a while as they are fantastic.
Edit: Thanks for the laughs on this one, I have creased up so many times. Fuck Shakespeare this is an ode to pie by Si
Super smashing great pie 🥧 Simon
I think you and that pie need to get a room Si...lol
Simon , as you ll no doubt have seen your youtube mate Scott has decided to address his unhealthy lifestyle . Hes doing and looking very well as a result .
Si contemplating if he is an alcoholic...
Noi, mate.. Drinking 10 pints a day is certainly beneath that threshold
There's no question that it's an excellent pie.....is it £7 excellent though? Not in my opinion....overpriced....the ingrediants probably cost about a quid...still.....a few beers and one of those on a wet day....cheer anybody up! 👍😎
Simon, I’m picturing Janine pushing poor Barry down the hill, and laughing when she killed him.
What message was contained there?
The pie sounds amazing and if it didn't have that 🔔🔚 name on it i would maybe give it a go, then again at £7 a pop, not a chance
I knew you wouldnt let us down
Is the stone the crows virtual pub coming back ?
Ironically. Before he famously got on the wagon. Tom Kerridge would daily 20 pints of lager and more!
His thighs are huge
That does look so good but why no buttery mash to go with it.
Because then he’d have to make something from scratch!
@@andrewsteer8860 😂
Piegasm!
Look,at the traffic lights! Death in a pie
4 bites and it’s gone
Jilly Goolden ! 🍷🍷🍷
I've never been so hungry in my life.
Pole dancing is the way through winter !🥶🍾🍺🤧🍻😥
hold the big daddy steak... i want a pie
Don't apologise to Tom he's a rip off merchant. Look at his restaurant price list.
