White Marks on imps are scars. So all the white marks on Blitz are from scars. Same with Fizz. Fizz's face is white because it is scarred from the fire. His nose is red because the red nose he always wore protected his nose in the explosion.
Also Blitz and Barbie's mom is likely dead. Blitz wears her choker.
yes, the scars and then we can see Blitz ran to a burning tent probably saying "mom" that made him leave Fizz and then run for help maybe.
Well, Barbie isn't dead. But, still that explains why they got those scars in the first place.

Speaking of Barbie, I have a theory that she wasn't in the accident because she doesn't have any scars on her (the drawings on her arms are birthmarks), I also believe she was brainwashed by the same people that lied to Fizz
I think she is really harsh on Blitzø because he ran away with their mother's necklace from the fire, wich makes her believe that he CAUSED the fire and couldn't handle the pressure
Plus: The "he didn't even come back for his sister" thing really affected her, making her ALSO run away and start to fall into her abyss and eventually taking drugs. Also makes me believe she got homeless for a long time since we can see that even as an adult she wears the same dress she wore in the circus (that we see on circus' posters) in bad conditions (torn and etc.)
Stolas is such a kind and empathetic demon. He could have very easily been petty towards Ozzies relationship with Fizz, but he instead helped Ozzie not be screwed over in a deal and smiled when Ozzie was reunited with Fizz. What a guy.
It's why I'm rooting for him. The poor birb deserves to be happy.
That one line, “You have no idea what I lost in that fire”. The agony in my heart right now.

If you noticed, before the photo burns , Blitz mouthed "mom?" while looking at a burning tent
I noticed it as well and that was heartbreaking because it revealed that blitz's accident killed his mother.

Why Barbie got into H8 stuff, and later into rehab to get off it, escaping the reality of loosing everything.
And exactly why she doesn't want to have anything with Blitz.
He blames himself, but so everybody else.

It seems like every single person I've watched react to this so far has not noticed that and Idk why lol
I think he tried getting attention to Fizz (saying his name), but got caught up with trying to save his mom.
I can see why Fizz thought Blitz abandoned him. He was groggy, in pain and saw his friend run away from him.
Granted from what I got out of the episode, Blitz was running towards the tent that his mom supposedly was in.
There is definitely more to this backstory and I am so happy we finally got some of it.
I am guessing we will get to see it at a later date and I can't wait to see more.
Especially because of the dirty look Blitzø sent him seconds before the fire started. He probably assumed he started the fire, hoped he had a change of heart and was going to help him, but seen him run away :(
Ive enjoyed all of season 2 but this episode is defintely a highpoint so far.

S2 isn't as good as I would hope however I can't deny this episode is great
So some details that are very interesting:
-the card that blitz had, had a love heart and 'fizz's eyes only' (I may be paraphrasing) on the envelope, that plus the flower and how upset Blitz looked, kind implies that Blitz had a crush on Fizz and wanted to confess.
-Why he may have not confessed?
1- because of the amount of praise and love Fizz gets (The only one who loved him was his mother I believe).
2- The card that Cash (Blitz's father) gave to Fizz said "I wish you were my son" which ouch.
-on Blitz's flashback, after the explosion, you can see him mouth "Fizz" and pointing to a direction somewhere probably getting someone that can help him.
Additionally after a smaller explosion behind him in tent, he looks to it and mouths "mom" before running off and the picture of his mother and sister burning up so yeah. I think she died in the fire.
I love that you can see hearts in the fireplace, the detail in this is crazy.
The backgrounds are always something Helluva Boss excels at, there's so many cool and intricate details.
I also literally just noticed that when the lawyer is quickly putting the papers away, there's a dildo next to his briefcase.
The white doesn't seem to be makeup. Blitz's face and wrists were scarred.
You don't see the white on his wrists in this episode because he wears these covers around them whenever he's in his classic suit.
But in episodes like the one where they visit Millie's family, you see him in 2 different outfits (a white shirt with sleeves rolled up and shirtless with a black vest on) that show off his arms/wrists, and they're white.
His fingers avoided damage and scarring so they are still red.
Also, most of Fizz's face is white (scarred) however just before the explosion, you see Fizz put on a clown nose over his actual nose. (Actually I think another imp put it on Fizz.)
Anyways, the clown nose seemed to have protected his nose from the initial blast, as you'll notice Fizz's actual nose is still red, not white like the rest of his face.
Yup, this is exactly the point. Young Blitz and Fizz never had the white until the incident. White on imps seems to represent harm by some hell means.
Like, the green fire that's clearly hell fire.

Actually Ozzie said "You won't have too again" He did said that Fizz won't have to go outside If do not wish so. I obviously doubt he will let him go without any escort for his safety, because he cares a lot about Fizz. He don't want to limit him in any way, just want to make sure he won't get hurt again. He is kinda overprotective but he's absolutely right. Fizz is a celebrity and cannot fight at all. With his flashy entrance you can also see that he likes to gain a looot of attention ^^
Oh! I just have that picture in my mind: Fizz and Blitz are sitting at cafe talking about their rich birds and Blitz's like "Are these guys really need to be here?" "Yeah Ozzie is kinda overprotective after what happened last time, boring. They are useless, fuck them, I don't need them at all"
And the guards are like fighting 5 assasins/kidnappers each of them at ones and Fizz just don't see any danger because their handling It immidiately xD

So far, my favorite episode out of the series. Loved the backstory bits with Blitz and Fizz (plus it would explain why Barbie Wire hated Blitz), Ozzie and Fizz's relationship is adorable, and Striker and Crim appearing in this episode was a complete surprise. Also I'm glad Blitz finally got some positive closure with Fizz. I'm glad that Stolas clarified that he's trying to get Blitz Asmodean crystals for his work since I think he needs a grimoire in case of whatever Andrealphus has planned for Stolas through Stella.
Can’t believe Striker and Crimson appeared in this episode. Together.
I’m a huge fan of Fizz and Ozzie. Now I’m a complete stan. Their relationship is so darn wholesome. I would love to see a flash of how they met and got together the first time. Maybe something for season 3. The Fizz “Look at this” was amazing I’ve been excited to hear since the Vivsiepop livestreams. They talked about music and how this one was one of the more challenging songs and soundtrack wise.
I'm assuming that they met when Ozzy was contracted to make the robotic limbs for Fizz. Rewatching season 1's "Loo Loo Land" Robofizz states the love bots he's part of is "from Ozzy's factory".
The mystery is how did that happen? When? Did the lobe bots come AFTER Ozzy & Fizz got together or before? Was Robofizz created as an entertainer first then love bots come after that?
Pausing at 33:01, I just realized Blitzø had a flower and a love letter prepared for Fizz. 😭💔
I can't even comprehend how heartbreaking that makes me feel. Something tells me the reason Blitzø left him was because he couldn't face the one he loved in the state he feels he caused him to be in. Absolutely so sad. 😭
Yeah, Blitzø really cared for Fizz but there was a lot of tension. Just looking at the card Fizz got from Blitzøs dad, gives you insight on what he had to deal with on a daily basis. Fizz was his friend and at the same time Fizz took things from him without even trying. This is some emotional turmoil to go through as a child.
@@Riomy13 I think he also saw Fizz as worthy of that love & attention, and not himself. So confessing love to Fizz, especially in front of others, would have been terrifying. I think BLitz was in a head space of "this is stupid, of course he would never love me back" and was giving up on the confession.
I'm hoping his experience with Stolas can be a chance for him to face and work through that huge fear of loving/seeking love.
I believe the white marks on the imps are scars (or birthmarks in some cases, like Moxxie's freckles), that's probably why Fizz's face is all white, he was so badly burned that there's essentially nothing left of his original skin colour...
This was by far the best episode i ever watched because it answered by far the biggest question of all: what caused blitz to act the way he is?. And the answer came in a form of the backstory and it was both an eye opener and heartbreaking at the same time.
I love all the little details with Fizz!
The albino dog that only has two legs, the trigger from Ozzie’s scissors, the different reactions to Blitzo, and how willing he was to get back to a friendship status with him despite everything.
I just love his character! He’s so cute!
This episode was amazing. I was so surprised when Crimson showed up, let alone Striker. I totally believed that Fizz was going to die and I genuinely forgot that Blitz and Fizz weren’t brothers. My favourite part had to be when the explosion gave Blitz that white scar on his face. I’m not sure if the explosion also made Fizz’s face completely white. After this episode, I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the series followed Blitz and his reconciliation with old friends and family. Maybe Verosika.
This is absolutely in my top 3 episodes, it had character moments, lore, a song, AND good jokes, basically all the great things about helluva boss.
One of the best episodes of the whole show. Now we need more about that fire accident.

You can always tell its a fantastic episode when it's the longest episode yet, but 27 minutes doesn't feel long enough 😁
I like how vivzipop still makes the background characters look good
You know, if anything, compared to the last episode, this one just proved to me Helluva Boss is at its peak when it takes itself seriously. It remind me a lot of episode 2 from season 1, with Stolas having to deal with Octavia fear of losing him (I would love to see how she reacted to seeing him so injured). This episode is one of the best, if not the best of the entire show. I don't really feel comfortable with all the sex stuff when it's played as a joke, like Ozzie's facory, but I can let it slide giving what we had (instead of last episode).
I love Blitz and Fizz relationship, especially seeing how they work as a duo. You can see Blitz being very protective over him in his body language, their chemistry and awkwardeness at seeing each other after so long, especially while they can talk about what happened, instead of the disaster at Ozzie's place in episode 7 of season 1. They really do care for one another but are traumatized grown up dealing with tragedy. Even if Fizz seems fine on the outside, you can see how panic he is during the whole thing. I think it's good to show someone who doesn't deal with murders and kidnapping all day. And yet, his relationship with Ozzie is so positive they look adorable together. Ozzie is listening to Fizz, sharing his concerns but respecting his decision to go alone. And being there to let him heal and be vulnerable, like he was with Blitz. These 2 are probably the closest person he has around and I'm so glad he make up with Blits in this episode...
On the other hand, this episode made me love Stolas even more, if it was even possible. First, I always enjoy hearing his theme playing. It's so melancolic and sad... He's a good boy who tried to help Ozzie because he understood how close he is to Fizz, not even getting jealous to see their relationship, the kind he wish he could have with Blitz. I have to say I'm disapointed we didn't see Stolas and Ozzie coming to their rescue but I understand it would have been over too quickly x) Because, let's be honest : they are terrifying when they're mad ^^ Also, Stolas is trying to give Blitz an escape route from their fullmoon contract by asking Ozzie a crystal that allows people like Verosika to go to the human world. He wants to see if Blitz really care about him if it's just business for him. And knowing how Blitz react to that kind of stuff, I think he'll break Stolas heart by pushing him away instead of forgiving himself and allowing happiness in his life again. He has to face the guilt of mutilating his best friend for life, but also, as it's confirmed in this episode, being responsible for his mother's death. No wonder his sister is so mad, even if it was an accident. We all need to find someone guilty and we're our worst ennemies. And episode 1 of season 2 showed us how bad Blitz dad was, not wanting to sell Fitz but having no remorse when it came to Blitz. No wonder he felt so jealous.
I'm really glad Blitz was able to save Fizz this time and I love that he did it by using circus move. Blitz is trying to change but the world doesn't make it really easy. I have to say, Stricker has a nice score about hurting his loved ones : Millie, Moxie, Stolas, Fizz... And he escaped again. Will he be able to get to Blitz at some point ? After all, they already fought back at Millie's parent place and they were even on physical ground. Another nice parallel I saw was Ozzie openly showing his affection to Fizz after almost losing him. On the other hand, Blitz was unable to be honest after almost losing Stolas. Shows how different their relationship are and how deep he's still hurt. I love how Fizz was like "come on bro, it's obvious he loves you" x) I can't wait to see how it will develop. Loona and Octavia would be great sisters ^^
Last episode didn't really have sex jokes
The craziest part about the flashback is that Imps scar by having the injuries go white, hence the big white spot on Blitz, so what we thought was clown makeup on Fizz is actually just scars
Nobody saw that Bliz wanted to give him a love letter, I said, in the end he got it for not doing it and in pain he threw away Fizz's birthday cake

anyways it was a really good episode .. might be one of my favs. we got to see not just Fizz and Ozzie, but also Stolas and Blitz0 and also Crimson and Striker there! and that song was great of Fizz improvising while showing them things and distracting them!
Funny that you say the imp with the cake probably didn't survive the fire, as the original storyboard for the scene indicates that he was a young Wally Wackford, so if that had stayed that way (and who knows, they may sometime reveal it was indeed him) he definitely would have survived.
It took three watches to realise that the reason Blitz ran off and got sidetracked is because he saw the other tent, pressumable were his mother and maybe Barbie were was on fire. I think it's also implied by blitz's dad in the episode he met stolas that there was something wrong with his mum so maybe she couldn't get out of the tent on her own.

This is hands-down, the best episode of season 2 so far the other ones besides episode 1 are kinda of a letdown. But this one is good😊

WE can't take what Crimson said as fact when it comes to him saying that Asmodeus being the weakest of the Princes (princes of the rings). He states that because Ozzy is the embodiment of Lust, while Crimson is greed and violence. He wouldn't understand lust except as a method to get what he wants, not lust for itself. Thus he thinks lust is weak, and since Ozzy promotes lust more than violence itself, therefore he thinks Ozzy is weak.
Pretty sure I read somewhere that the white spots on imps are scars or birthmarks (like how Moxxie has white freckles) - so Fizz' white face and Blitz' white marks are scars from their burns

I don't think that flower Blitz was holding was a prank flower. Look again at what Blitz was holding. That's not a birthday card. That's an envelope with a heart shaped seal. That looks like your stereotypical love letter.
Also, a correction: demons of Asmodeus's rank aren't called dark lords. They're called Princes or Sins (Asmodeus is also a King within the Ars Goetia subset of demons, which puts him at a higher rank than Stolas, but still bellow Lucifer, who's the leader of the Sins). Crimson's line was "I know who I'm dealing with; the weakest and least threatening of the Sins. The king who will do anything to protect Hell's worst kept secret." I think that line is less a comment on Asmodeus's actual strength, and more a jab at Asmodeus having an emotional weakness in the form of his genuine feelings for Fizz.
So Crimson is either dead or a walking corpse, not only he kidnapped the "business partner" of the sin of lust, he also trash talked Ozzie and tried to scam him. On top of that Fizzarolli works for the sin of Greed so the possibility of 2 sins going after Crimson is pretty high.
I wouldn't want to be Crimson right now, ngl.

I agree that this is one of the best episodes of the series, and the best of S2. And I actually think it's because of what you said: no Moxxie, no Millie, no Loona. And let me clarify: it's not because of *them* especifically, but because the focus was *tighter* : no huge cast of characters we have to follow around or risk being underutilized, no unrelated side plot to derail the story and make us lose momentum... and, of course, a much stronger focus on character relationships that has actual continuity. *Actual continuity* in Helluva Boss! I can't believe I'm really seeing it!!

For those of you who are curious why Ozzie is "the weakest and most non-threatening of all the sins" it can be implied by his haste to sign contracts that he's signed a lot of his power away. Lucifer, Satan, and Beezlebub are likely the three highest in that order, being the Unholy Trinity. Leviathan (Envy's King) and Mammon have large amounts of wealth, Mammon being the literal King of Greed, and Leviathan only worrying about their citizens because the Envy Ring is implied to be a large ocean. Belfragor (Sloth's King) may be weaker than Ozzie, since they're the King of Sloth, but the drug trade in Sloth also gives Belfragor monetary power. Ozzie, meanwhile, has invested mostly in pleasure and luxury
Oh this is ABSOLUTELY the best episode! I've never felt so invested in this show since season 1!!
Ironically, it's always the Ozzie episodes that get me. Fizz is such a cute, fun character! I'm so happy they took the story of this one seriously, it really paid off!

there was a leak of this episodes story boards, during the flash back we would have seen his sister running by from the fire or his mother i forgot and he would murmor "mom?" which is what he seems to be saying in silence right before running away from fiz

White marks on imps are scars same with Fizz his nose is red cause it was covered during the fire. Also that card Blitz had was a love letter and the flower was a gift cause he had a crush on Fizz but he never gave it to Fizz. Also in that one board with Blitz looking at a tent before the photo burns he says the words mom.
Ok how cute is that Ozzie got for Fizz albino, handicapped, emotional support dog? This dog is fully white with red eyes like Fizz is after getting white scars all over his body. It pretty much shows that his scars aren't disgusting in Ozzie's eyes. Also dog needs a wheelchair because of some of his legs not working, same like Fizz lost his limbs and needed prosthetic ones. This white dog was also cuddling Fizz right away when his anxiety and anger was hitting him. Most likely this dog was also trained to help emotionally. Just by looking at this dog, we can see how much Ozzie cares about Fizz's self image and his hurtful emotions. I hope Fizz will get his dogs back or at least his emotional support dog. One black one seems to be hit into window so not sure if he will get them all alive. If we won't see them for now, my headcanon will be Ozzie sending his people to bring Fizz's dogs back.
The official subtitles are amazing. You should turn them on if you ever wtach the episode again. They confirm that Fizz's pets (bugs? fly-dogs?) are fine

Blitzo said he needed another 60 seconds, and that's almost exactly the time it took before everyone realized what went on, a cool little detail.

I’m really starting to wonder if Fizzarolli’s cybernetic arms and legs are a deliberate reference to Doom. I mean really think about it... a demon with cybernetic implants. What does that remind you of? What is the first video game that really comes to mind in such a scenario? By that point, sooner or later, one can’t help but inevitably think of the Doom first person shooter franchise whenever you see something like that in pop-culture nowadays because it’s pretty much the definitive video game series that really iconically popularized the concept in fiction of depicting demons with cybernetic enhancements.

Three of my top episodes are S1E2, S1E7, and now this one. Clearly Fizz can make any episode amazing
Although Fizz and Blitz's friendship got fix, that was still a fifteen-year gap there, I don't think Blitz was fully forgiven, but I'm still very happy to see them getting closer and closer🥲and I hope the next episode will be about Blitz and Stolas repairing their relationship🥺
By the way, the Subtitles do indeed confirm, that the small doggos have returned safely

I’m surprised you did not notice the Necronomicon that Fiza Raleigh had in his hands when he was singing the song, indicating that maybe not as a reference, but potentially canon that evil dead is in the same universe has has been hotel and helluva boss in a Multiverse all sense cause the Necronomicon is from HP Lovecraft Which also means we could have Cthulhu HP Lovecraft like situations cosmic horror stuff in future episodes hopefully and may be a team up with ash Williams and amp kill some dead eights perhaps they could also hire Bruce Campbell to voice an animated version of ash for the Helluva Boss universe 🧐👍🏻
White marks on imps are scars or in some cases (Like Moxxie's freckles) they could be birth marks. This episode just showed how both Blitz and Fizz got their scars.
Blitz's hands and wrists do have white scars they're just not visible in his classic outfit. His fingers are still red as they avoided being scarred. But if you look in episodes like the Harvest Moon Festival you'll see all Blitz's scars.
Fizz's whole face was scarred in the fire apart from his nose which was covered by a clown nose before the explosion.
I think the mark is his scar, his hand is scared too when he takes off his gloves? Hand thing?

@vegiegamer on that fake contract did you notice the words stating to use fizzirollie's head as a wall decoration? Bet you anything that is why crimson has so many others as wall decorations. Plus this episode gave at least wtf happened to have blitz, fizz, and barb have issues

Great episode, I'd say the best of season 2 so far. Truthseekers and Spring Broken are still my favorites though.

The white spots on their faces and bodies are scars. My guess is Blitzø's dad, Cash, lied to Blitzø and Fizz to cause discord between them to get back at Blitzø even though it was an accident and Cash's fault for showing favoritism in the first place. Great episode.
The way I see it, it was probabl more to protect Fizz from Blitz. Seems like a lot of person are blaming him for what happened. Sometimes, people take bad decision hopping to lessen the burden on the victims, when that's not want they want. It's clear that Fizz felt betrayed and alone after not seeing Blitz show up to his side. Nice parallel with what he actually did after Stolas got hurt.
@dogti2959 You're joking, right? Cash sold his own son for a wadded up $5 and a condom and this was BEFORE the fire. It was also made clear he'd have given Fizz to the Goetia if Stolas' father had been willing to pay. Cash is a terrible father and boss, and I doubt he would protect anyone but himself. He probably threw Fizz out after the fire. That's likely why Fizz no longer works for the Circus and why Barbie Wire has no job. Cash cut and ran and left all of them behind to fend for themselves. Never compare Blitzø to his father. The only reason Blitzø didn't go help Stolas himself was because he was putting his daughter Loona and her health first. Blitzø had faith that M & M could deal with Striker on their own, and also believed Stolas would be okay since he's such a powerful demon prince. Blitzø is self-destructive sometimes, but he's nowhere near as much of a selfish loser as his father.
@@aurorasilverthorne Well, I never assumed he was the one to lie to Blitz and Fizz. We don't know who survived the tragedy and if Fizz had relatives who might have wanted to protect him from the person responsible for the fire. I hate Bliz dad and I wouldn't try to defend him. However, we don't know how he was when Blitz was an adult, if he might have changed. And knowing now that Blitz mom died during that fire, I have to question what she did to protect her son. Seems to imply she was sick but who knows ? We always need to see the bigger picture before blaming one or the other, because we don't know the context behing it.
@dogti2959 If Cash didn't care about his own son, you think he cared about his wife or Fizz? Fizz was just a money maker to him. The Goetia could've said or done anything to Blitzø or Fizz, and Cash didn't bat an eyelash at selling either of them. Fizz isn't Blitzø and Barbie's brother. If their mother thought of Fizz as a son, why wasn't he in the picture with her, Blitzø, and Barbie? It was heavily implied that the mother perished in the fire. Cash isn't the nurturing type. I doubt he'd stay once his wife was out of the picture. I think he ran off and abandoned them, and they all blamed his departure and their mother's death on Blitzø. Cash probably told them that Blitzø did it all on purpose just to deliver a final backstab before disappearing on them.
@@aurorasilverthorne Well, at the end of the day, you don't know what truly happened, like me. So either our theory can be right. Who knows, maybe he died in that fire. I doubt that Blitz dad was a good man but we only met him once. People can change, people have their reasons, even if we don't agree with them. I always want to leave an open door, who knows what on the author mind.

I would guess Blitz accidentally killed his mom. It would explain why he hates himself and why barbie wants nothing to do with him. Probably why stated taking drugs in the first place before going to rehab.

Season 2 has had some weaker episodes, but this was definitely one of the better ones of the season, probably THE best so far. I'd even put it in my top 5 for the series, just behind S1E6 and S1E8. Not sure if I like it more than S1E7 though, it's close but I'm gonna say this one just a bit for the Blitz/Fizz backstory and make up.
