The difference is Addict is not canon - there's a shot all the way at the end of the video with a blink-and-you'll-miss-it graffiti on the wall saying "It was all a dream". This one is apparently canon - we even see Stolas receive the Asmodean crystal that's been a thing for the last couple of episodes.

The animation is absolutely breath taking!
Stolas is such a sad, longing soul. This is his most emotional song we've gotten from him thus far, and honestly- Bryce has such a killer voice to fit that somber, needing tone for his character.

It is such a good song. It would be crime not to animate and have such a great singer do it.
It hurts me that stolas is going to cut ties with blitzø to set him free, but it makes sense since their relationship is built on a contract, they both need space from one another in order to grow as individuals. So Stolas getting the Asmodean crystal as another option for Blitzø to go to the human world freely makes sense.
Well they both hate themselves for their own reasons, and they’ll never make things right with each other until it’s known. Stolas regrets hurting his daughter with the divorce, though he probably just beat Stella to the chance to cheat. Blitz has so many more regrets he’s been trying to fix recently, but still can’t forgive himself for.
I don't believe Stolas actually intends to cut ties. Since Blitz believes that the only reason why Stolas shows any interest in him is for the sake of sex - and Blitz is only 'obligated' to have sex with Stolas for the sake of the grimoire - Stolas is hoping that if he makes sure Blitz doesn't need him and his grimoire anymore, Blitz will *have* to recognize that Stolas still wants to spend time with him because he cares about him.
Or, as Sarcastic Chorus says, at the very least when Blitz no longer depends on Stolas, he will no longer have that financial incentive to lie to him. So Stolas hopes that Blitz will tell him the truth about how he feels without being scared to lose his livelihood over it.
@@trishapellis yes I think the scene in this song where he explodes up toward the moon, saying he will make amends, is to say he isn't cutting ties to just separate them but to hopefully bring them together again- but this time by free will & choice instead of obligation and mutual bargaining.

The butler is delivering the Asmodeus crystal Stolas asked Ozzie for back in the episode “Oops!”.
He’s going to give it to Blitzø in the next episode “Full Moon” and allow him to continue IMP without having to use the book and stop the monthly full moon sessions.
Next episode will be the most pivotal moment between them by far.

That jewel at the beginning was one of Ozzie's crystals that Stolas asked for (in S2 EP 6) to allow legal access into the mortal realm for Stolas to give to Blitzo which adds more to this song because if Stolas gives Blitzo the crystal, Blitzo wouldn't need Stolas anymore...

That whole section with the two being constellation outlines really got me to tear up. Blitzø being in a ball he’s built out of fear is sadly relatable, and Stolas just wanting to help him and be there for him adds to it.
Stolas seems to care deeply about Blitzø and wants to help him, but Blitzø doesn’t recognize that, and thinks Stolas only cares for the sex. I really do hope that in the next episode, Stolas giving Blitzø the crystal will be a wake up call for him, having him realize that Stolas truly loves him for who he is, and not just for the sex.
Apologies if this sounds sappy lmao, these two characters, ESPECIALLY Blitzø are just incredibly relatable to me.
It also has every chance of going badly as well. Blitz/o after finally starting to make his amends an let down his walls some, may see this as Stolas losing interest in him and discarding him.
We can hope it doesn't happen, yet given his disposition it is not an unlikely outcome sadly.
@@werecoth Unfortunately, yes! That could be an outcome. Knowing Blitzø, he could see this as Stolas throwing him away after being satisfied with how much he’s used him. I really hope this doesn’t happen though, since these two could work out well if they would just talk to each other. Which I assume is gonna happen in “The Full Moon”.
I think my biggest fear for how Stolas giving Blitzo the crystal could go is that Blitzo might interpret it as Stolas not wanting him around and trying to get rid of him instead of what it truly is, and I am REALLY hoping I end up being wrong about that!

I don't think Stolas really wants to break the bond as much as he thinks that is what is best for Blitzo. It's like they both believe they're hurting one another and Stolas wants to be the one to end that hurt. Hopefully things turn around for the better soon, I hate seeing the two best bois sad.

The part when we see Blitz encased in the Black orb and seeing stolas's reaction to seeing it.. was heartbreaking. That shit was so brutal, I am sure a lot of us can relate to the feeling of trying to reach out to someone and trying to help them out of that black orb they closed themself into.. God.. this song was such an heavy one.. not pulling any punches when it comes to emotional.. I think it really went all out hitting us.
EDIT PART: I honestly can see myself in Stoles at that point I mentioned above.. I been there.. its an horrible feeling. I can also see myself a bit in Blitz.. which really gets to me.. I can relate to Blitz there where things been so bad for so long.. that its hard to break out of that orb. God this Music video was brutal for me.. it hit way way too close to home for me.
Completely agree, it was a horrifyingly real moment and I didn’t realize why it resonated so deeply until you said that. It’s such a painful sight to see someone you love being in such a dark orb, shutting you out.

After the end of the 2nd to last episode (where Stolas asked Asmodeus for one of his crystals so Blitzo doesn't has to use the Grimmoire (Stolas' book) ever again...) - this made me cry from the beginning. Now Stolas has the fear of losing blitzo, who is his friend (and maybe more?)

I remember when this show first started, I was super harsh on Stolas when it came to the first season. Especially since he literally broke his family by cheating on his wife with Blitzø. And I vehemently do not support cheating in any sense! Not even when the first episode of season 2 came out, it felt like the show was trying to justify Stolas cheating, but... I get now that it was because I was expecting Stella to be more complicated than a textbook abuser, and, given Stolas' status as a Goetia, I think I understood there was no other way for him to get his freedom from her and his life. When it came to him cheating on Stella, it was a very shakey grey area, but I understood afterward.
Going through the second season and looking back at "Ozzie's," he really didn't understand how a loving a relationship was meant to be. I mean, for goodness sake, he lived an incredibly sheltered life with a very absent and abusive parent and lived with a narcissistic abusive wife! All he has ever known is abuse! And given how toxic the circumstances of Blitzø's and Stolas' relationship was, to downright obsessive, it was until it had gone too far.
I see now that Stolas truly does love Blitzø after watching season 2 throughout to get to this point and that he realizes his mistakes. I don't know if anyone ever went through similar realizations as this show went on in regards to this couple, but that's just my take on it.
I always felt very neutral about the whole cheating thing, while cheating is not a good thing. I didn't really feel much about Stolas cheating (except feeling bad for Octavia caught up in the chaos) as he's royalty which inevitably meant he was in an arranged marriage. History is filled with royalty/nobility having lovers outside their arranged unions. Plus we're also in Hell, where our sense of morals don't quite apply.
But it was interesting to see Stolas change to want something more genuine with Blitz, but with no idea on how to actually do so. Because of his inexperience and the fact their "relationship" started with sexual favours.
Honestly, if he could have go away than yeah cheating would have been bad. But he was trap, it was only when he was on a breaking point that he did get away (and ev than he is on the edge of getting murdered). It's definitely not a common practice to divorce in the Goethia and is see very badly. I think nearly everyone would have cheated in the same position as him, probably even earlier than his did. Honestly it shouldn't even be considered cheating here, it's not like he was hurting her, she didn't care, she didn't feel betrayed at all. There weren't even a relationship at this state, it was just a situations they where before stuck in but instead of trying to make it better she made it worst, it's all her fault
@straneas3099 Yeah, and it's only until I stopped listening to the many critics of the show that I decided to accept the story for what we have, and it's mainly because of the many criticisms the show gets that kind of twisted my view of the show for a while. Not that it doesn't deserve criticism. It's not the best story in the world, but... sometimes, they got out of hand to downright nitpicking at certain times, you know?
I feel like this song perfectly discribes what stolas is feeling inside and both the animation and the vocals make his pain so clear and it all together made me sob💖 Love Stolas I just want to see him happy.

I agree with you: this was so epic and stunning, and it was so great to see this song as an official video with Mr. Pinkham singing it! And the visuals were STUNNING. And the emotion, both visual and in Stolas’s voice…! I was crying through it. And I loved the little changes to the lyrics to be about Stolas struggling with freeing Blitz from their little contract. But, yeah, this is my fave music video right now and I seriously got chills. So GOOD!
Anyway, I’d honestly love to see “Hooked” or “Use Me Up” animated. Or even “Signal”. Honestly, all of the songs are bangers and would be epic to see/hear like this.

The crystal from the beginning of the music video is the crystal Stolas got from Asmodeus. That is one of Asmodeus Crystals that allow the Succubus which are the race that are from the Lust ring a way to get to the living world.
Stolas has asked and got this crystal from Asmodeus to give to Blitzø so he does not need to borrow Stolas's Grimoire to get to the living world anymore helping Blitzø do his job more proficiently.
The fear we all have is that this is going to damage the relationship Stolas and Blitzø has as Blitzø would have no reason to go and see Stolas anymore.

The bag had Asmodeus' seal, and if I'm not mistaken, the symbol on the box is the Symbol of Asmodeus as a demon. So the "gift" is definitely the Asmodean crystal that Stolas has requested for Blitz.
Oh yeah, there so many beautiful shots in this music video and I love it and the animation 2-D art style is breathtaking. and I feel really sorry for Stolas he’s so sad I just want to give him a big hug. He deserves better and to be happy i’ll be uploading my reaction soon !

Blitz in the moon in the fetal position is like him wanting to regress to the womb.
I interpreted the later scene of Stolas flying up to chase after the moon "I will make amends" to mean he is not just cutting ties with Blitz. He is doing this to try to create a real, healthy, and a freely chosen bond to try again together. I don't think Stolas is viewing it as a breakup like I see some people saying? I think he knows it may end up being a break up, since he has to let Blitz make that choice. But my reading is that Solas will be handing over the crystal to attempt to clarify that he actually DOES care for/love Blitz.
I'm completely uncertain how that will play out (I think its hard to predict because its,,, truly nebulous and up to the writers- it hasn't been telegraphed to us like Stolas' intentions have been. With the last few episodes of Blitz seeking out his sister to try to reconnect (unsuccessful), and his sudden reconnection, talking things out, and rekindling a bond with Fizz-- All of that being laid out for us, along with BOTH Blitz and Stolas having long interactions with basically a healthy version of themselves (Ozzie & Fizz) it just all feels to me like its meant to put Stolas and Blitz in the best possible place to NOT explode and break up totally.
My best guess is Stolas will gift the crystal to Blitz on their Full Moon meetup, he will try to clarify its meant to free Blitz from needing his book, and he will TRY to make some sort of love confession. Blitz will feel panicked rejection, as if the crystal is just a way for Stolas to cut ties since hes grown bored with Blitz (especially since they haven't been meeting to have sex!!) and Blitz will run away from it. Sad ofc. But I do think, because of all those previous episodes we've just gone through, Blitz will talk to Fizz, and possibly Ozzie too since Blitz is friendly with both of them currently. They will talk Blitz down from the EXTREME reaction, enough for Blitz to think. Blitz will make some sort of gesture back to Stolas, even if its small.
Thats just me trying to frame why we would have seen so many episodes making this big obvious path for Blitz to connect with Fizz & start to heal that BIG initial wound. Only for Blitz to totally break it off with Stolas and fall into despair for the rest of the season. We'll see how wrong I am in a few months lol.

Giving Blitz the Amsodeus Crystal would mean giving Blitz a means to continue IMP, by getting his own access to the human world, without having to depend on Stolas and his book in exchange for regular sexual favors. Pretty much setting him free from their contract, and giving him his own choice on whether or not he'd still even want to remain in Stolas's life, in the process.
And as much as the very likely possibility of losing the man he loves by releasing him from that deal, breaks his heart more than anything, he's willing to accept that likely fate and give Blitz that choice and freedom, for the sake of Blitz's happiness.
Even though all he wishes to do is share his love with Blitz, and for Blitz to open up and love him too, he knows that being chained to someone by obligation or against their will, isn't real love. He's willing to let him go and risk losing him forever, because he knows it's the right thing to do.
He can only hope that there is real love and a true connection that formed between them that grew with time. But if not, a life without him to share it with, is a life he's willing to accept. No matter how much it hurts.
Because even if all he wants is love and a life with Blitz, what holds more importance to him than that, is for Blitz to have a free and happy life. Even if Stolas himself isn't part of it.

Dude, if you're surprised by this serious tone, you clearly haven't been paying attention to Blitzo and Stolas's entire story arc AT ALL! I mean, Vivzie has had PLEANTY of serious moments in the show, ESPECIALLY regarding Stolas; Stolas having to reassure Octavia that he'd never abandon her for Blitzo, Stolas singing about how alone he feels realizing that Blitzo might not reciprocate his feelings, Stolas getting into an argument with Stella and having to *physically* stop her from back-handing him when he insists on a divorce, Blitzo desperately trying to convince his sister to let him be a part of her life again, Blitzo tearfully apologizing to Fizz and sharing his side of the story regarding the circus fire, and definitely more that I'm forgetting to list here. If you think ANY of those scene WEREN'T serious or were having their seriousness reduced by a comedic undertone, then I have no clue what show YOU'VE been watching, but it ain't Helluva Boss.

I know this clip is about the relationship between Blitzo and Stolas but in my personal view this song also serves as a good demonstration of the relationship between mankind and God.

I only got around a season and a half into Attack on Titan. I should really give it another go, I just always found myself enjoying the episodes that were about the individual humans (perticularly Potato girl), and then not enjoying the ones focused more on the monster attacks. I do only hear only good things about it (I also MUCH preferred the original intro tune over the 2nd).
