i think a factor that vastly contributes to run devil run feeling cinematic and "like it could fill a stadium", like you said, is snsd's trademark of chant-y choruses, which is that most if not all title tracks are sung by all members, all together. it really adds to that expansive, choir-like/acapella feel, and it is only enhanced by the great songs it carries. there truly is no one like snsd ♡
Funfact: they did a follw-up to the promise made in 'Run Devil Run' on their latest comeback in 2022 with the song 'You Better Run.' Run Devil Run lyrics "I’ll get my revenge when I become a greater person, don’t you forget it." You Better Run lyrics: "I’ve said it before. The day I become cooler, I’ll repay you. They are pretty much the same but the story ver has bits and pieces from that room where their Oh! And RDR personas meet.
