How could you dislike this song being a fan of Metal? Okay, it' not as classical oriented or melodic oriented as their first albums (witch are the best ones for sure), but this a fucking kickass Death Metal song. This hole album is a fucking killer Death Metal record. It's not like the old COB (that made them famous), but this album kicks ass! Aggressive riffs and amazing choruses... one of the best Metal releases of 2015.
Well at least one other person on this earth gets it... It's a good song, period. One of my favorites that they've put out recently. It's different, who cares? They're not going to just magically release Hatebreeder 2.0 two decades after Hatebreeder was put out. They're literally not in the same headspace anymore. Plus between that and three albums of Sinergy, people tend to forget how many overly technical songs the man has written during his lifetime. Of course Alexi's going to do different things here and there. Personally, I loved this album upon it's first listen, and I'm equally excited for what's in store on Hexed, which is presumably going to be another "not your father's CoB" album, which will be just fine.
Yes! People just have to hate, and metal fans are the worst for it. They're making me feel shame for being a metalhead. I never consider CoB death metal though, but I also despise all the labels and tags in metal that created this segregation we now have where everyone argues dumb shit like, "No! It's not thrash metal, it's groove metal!" "It's not metal, it's hard rock!" The fuck you think 'metal' is, dumbasses?! It's a subgenre under the 'rock' genre used to label bands who play a heavier, darker, and faster style of 'ROCK'. They talk like it's foreign and has nothing to do with rock music, lol. Shit drives me nuts! Get that 'technical' 'mathcore' 'nu-metal' 'speed metal' 'stoner metal' 'grindcore' 'black metal' 'metalcore' 'doom metal' 'classic metal' 'death metal' 'thrash metal' 'hardcore' 'djent' 'brutal-hillbilly-folk-polka-christian-disco-dance-post-grungy-horrorcore-pig squealing-party anthemic revival-metal with modern day homosexual vibes and thoughts-of-buttsex influences' type shit outta here, lol. Obviously that last, really long one is made up, but the rest are just some of the sincere labels these bands get tagged with, and the musicians themselves hate it. Then, if they try the slightest bit of something else for a song on their newest effort, it's, "They're done! They sold out to the 'mallcore'/'buttrock' crowd!" Lol, I hate most metal fans of today because they're whining wanna-be-elitist pussies.
If fans have known, this album was influenced by Lamb of God groove type of Metal
And whay does CoB do when they make a new album? They create a different type of subgenre of metal

When i read interviews about how Alexi had been influenced by Lamb of God during the tours, i knew that this album would have that groove Metal Lamb of God Bodom touch to it, and holy fk i really love Lamb of God, and for CoB to make a Groove Metal type of bodom album i was blown away

CHILDREN OF BODOM are one of thee best melodic death metal bands of all time for which they are my 4th favorite band of all time.
I've seen them twice live ..... 1st time November 28th. 2016 while on the I WORSHIP CHAOS TOUR : opening band ONI EXMORTUS and ABBATH.
2nd time was while on the 20 YEARS DOWN AND DIRTY TOUR : opening band THE UNCURED LOST SOCIETY and CARACH ANGREN
