The R33 is a better R32 in terms of handling, technology and stuff. The R32 was already a really great car. It was fast, it was modern (looking too), has so much tech and more. And this all in a 80s engineered car! So I like the R32 more. R33 and 34 too of course. ;)
Sam S I’d rather have the more modern interior, chassis, OEM power but in an R33 body shape. Tuning that old RB 26 to match R35 power is expensive. Having the superior chassis and engine but looking like a clean R33 would make for a great car.
The more I look at it, the more I like it over the 34 and 32. It's less edgy and let's be honest, a lot cheaper than a 34. While more updated than the 32.
For 1995 this car was a mechanical marvel. Other than the fuel injection it’s all analogue. And it’s great to see a factory standard example, the way the factory intended & not modified to suit one persons taste. One day this car will no doubt be in a museum as a tribute to what talented mechanics & car designers were capable of in the pre- Information Age. I LOVE modern high performance cars that push the envelope & are at the absolute cutting edge of technology, but there’s something magic about seeing & experiencing high performance from a bygone era. Excellent review Lee. It’s so good watching car videos done by a fellow Aussie in Aussie terms using Aussie language. We need a few more Aussie car you tubers to demonstrate to the world we are a nation of true car lovers.
Currently a student and building my first car, S13 and hope to buy my dream car (white R33) when I finish school, I absolutely love this generation the most from the skyline series and I cannot wait to have mine 😈
Great video mate! So many facts and knowledge, but still super entertaining! I really like the R33, I actually never saw one in real life. Tons of R34s, many R32s but weirdly never an R33.
I always wanted a R34 but I really think I'm get a R33. The lines flow so well. Rear lights and spoiler are thes best I ever seen. Seems so simple. Plus its cheaper!
The r33 is my favourite skyline. The shape is much better looking than the r32 and I think it’s a little prettier than the r34. Plus it’s the cheapest so I might be able to afford one one day!!
After watching this I want this over the R32. The R34 still looks best but I didn’t know the R33 raced at Le Mans. Such good history 😮 great review Lee well done
I used to own one of these. Nicely modified up to 550hp but I kept the exterior standard. I wish I had kept it. Owned from 2006-2010. I took it to the Nurburgring - and it was closed.
Great review, nothing new here but you stuck to the facts and let them speak for the car. The only people that think the 33 was a step backwards from the 32 are clueless idiots that haven't bothered looking at the performance stats or the history of all the Skyline GT-R's.
Park it anywhere you want? :p unfortunately if you do that it will get stolen. My friend will never leave his 1998 series 3 R33 GTR alone. Ever. Even at car meets it stays in our sight lol.
I love owning a R33. Mine is a Vspec model. I also RB30 swapped it and switched to a single turbo. On pump gas my car makes 604 hp and 517 tq. On e85 I’m in the low 800’s. There’s nothing like driving this car, people really don’t know how great this car is. This is the link to my build breakdown. ua-cam.com/video/xE7N-ny6ER8/v-deo.html
muddafukka 69 you say that until you drive one. Once you drive a RB30 and then get back into a RB26, you feel like something is missing. The torque that the half a liter produces is extremely noticeable. The turbo(s) come on sooner, the break away power when accelerating from a dead stop or out of a corner, even just on the highway, passing other cars and not having to down shift. Nissan should have put the 3L in from the gate. It would have made an already iconic motor even better. Mine has the cylinder head from the RB26. Horse power is made in the head and torque is made from the stroke (block). With a RB30/26 you’ve got the best of both.
@@mk2nathan thanks man, I'm still not done, I want a HKS V Cam and I'm kicking around some turbo options. EFR 9280 or 7685, but turbo I pick, I'm doing the T51r mod.

Awesome video mate! I would love to see a review of the rare and unique Mazda rx7 spirit r edition. I’m 16 and I have learnt a lot from ur reviews of Euro sports cars as I usually watch jdm cars😆
@@ausbeats983 No, he's right the r32 was called godzilla by the strayans because it dominated in its class. The R33 and R34 never really did as well when it came to racing
So many people hate on the R33 GT-R because its the popular thing to do....Still looks very modern today especially in Midnight Purple OMG!
Ericship triple 1 here 🙏🙏
+4

The perfect review the R33 GTR deserves
Cheers...!
It’s the best looking GTR of them all. I often thought a R33 body over a R35 chassis and interior would be brilliant.
stubones I would buy the R33 over the R35 anytime
+1

I’m so happy that this is on my recommendations
Even though I am a die hard R34 fan, the R33 has grown a lot on me
R33 is the most beautiful GTR

best looking GTR. may be hated but i love it. its also tunable so idk why people dont like it. i absolutely love it and want one when im older
Needless to say being the most underrated skyline
Great review Lee ! Love the R33 and look forward the review when you find the right R34.

I’m going to miss my 33 when it gets sold... it’s just the best.
Thomas Ashton why sell?
One thing to note, they made over 18,000 Honda NSX compared to the 16,600+ R33 GTR...
This is the best in the GTR family for me.
Very nice review and car well done
Thank you...!
Probably my favorite of the three! Great review on the R33 GTR! Subbed!

High light of Japanese quality. Drives and is heaps nicer and quieter on the inside than a r32
Nathan Matthews I’m more of an R32 guy, but the R33 is such an amazing car that gets shadowed by the R34 and R32.

Chris Lukasik dunno why people want to steal them
Not literally...!
Lmfao dude I'm exactly the same with mine it's a series 3 gtr aswell hahaha.
Great review of an awesome r33. We have an r34 gtt not quite a gtr
On the fence whether I should buy a 33 or 32. I will be visiting the place you buy yours from
Give some love to Sal...!
My dream car and it’s the most hated ☹️
Hopefully we can turn it’s perception around...! For the better of course 😊
