Bravo. An evocative and emotional ride through Spielberg's work. He has been a constant in my life and your beautiful edit felt like a journey from my six-year old self to the present day. Like others, I hope he gets to see this. Thank you for sharing it. (Think I am going to start a Spielberg chronological marathon for 2025.)
I’ve watched this 3 times and I’ve teared up every time!! This man and his movies mean so much to this and this captures every beautiful and great about him and his films! The adventure, danger, fear, wonder, joy, confusion, sadness, loneliness, family and so so much more
That is absolutely beautiful. A wonderful edit. Spielberg’s movies have been our lives. So many classic moments that will live forever. Had me in tears at the end. Congratulations ❤
Just wow... So many great cuts! This was insane. Gave me chills! Really great work! Good old pain stakingly well crafted editing here! The passion jumps out of the screen. Thank you for this. The cut from the car in the water in war of the worlds to saving private Ryan was just perfect!
Holy. Fuckin. Shit. This might be the greatest edited montage I’ve ever seen. And let me tell you something, that is anything something. The music? The cuts? The end with the “what kind of movie are we going to make?” And…chills. This whole thing was chills. My hope is Spielberg sees this and is moved by it. Bravo my dude. Bravo.
@@somersetVIIcan you post the credits for the music you used in this? I thought I heard some Max Ritcher in there somewhere. Obviously some John Williams. But I’d love to see the list of songs
Dude, I cannot express how amazing I felt watching this until the end. This was extraordinary, and I salute you. I can’t imagine how much work this must have been. I just want to let you know how incredible you are and that every movie fan should watch this compilation. It truly touched me-thank you so much for this. This is the reason Spielberg is my favorite! Subscribed.
I've seen a lot of tributes to Spielberg's filmography, and I have even made one of those as well, but this tribute video is hands-down the best one I have seen thus far. Not only was the editing spot-on and the song choices perfect, it was overwhelmingly emotional throughout, and it made me want to revisit so many of the great films in Spielberg's filmography. Thank you for this video, as it is the best commemoration to the 50 years in which Spielberg has given us countless masterworks.
This is truly magnificent. It’s so gratifying to find other filmmakers who are also as inspired by Spielberg’s work as I am. Except you showed it by creating this wonderful tribute. Every bit of love you have for his films is evident and extraordinarily displayed here. Bravo.
Wow, I can't even imagine how long this took to edit! You really do a great job editing to the directions of motion and framing of the different shots. Awesome tribute to Spielberg!
WOW! This is magnificent!!! Masterfully crafted. As a fan of Spielberg also, I approved. Mr Spielberg needs to see this. Thankyou!! so much for making such an incredible tribute!
I'm 53 years old and this brought to life more than anything else I can think of what an immeasurable influence Spielberg has been on my life. This was masterfully done and worthy of the great man. And thank you for including clips of his not so known or respected movies alongside his iconic ones. I would have loved to see something from Poltergeist, but I guess that would have been a bit too cheeky. :-D
Beautiful use of imagery and music 🎶...Henry Vth into E.T for the finale. It's the sound design and music that - mixed with the images- spirit and intentions of characters & dialogue that make for the magic of movie storytelling and brought me to tears. Nothing on UA-cam yet can match what seeing an actual 2 hour film in a theatre does.. I think Nardwar's interview with Chalamet wins the youTube today with this being a close second today. Kudos to Spielberg et al. When does he get to retire, one wonders? Spielberg is just a human after all. But the public at large needs that one last greatest of chef d'oevres that'll solve all human ills in 1 hour 42 minutes.
For my entire life, Spielberg has been charged with the crime of being melodramatic; of forcing emotion instead of letting it arise naturally. The master's critics, though, fail to see that the Jewish boy from Arizona simply saw the world in a way few do: with compassion and love, coming from a place of loss, alienation (as a Jew and as a child of divorce). This was a man who had an eye for cinema like no other: was it bombastic and over the top? Yes! Was it often a callback to the serialized Saturday cinema of his youth? Yes, too! But was it also something unique to Spielberg combined with a love for the masters: from Kubrick to Kurosawa that made us not only feel, but think and... look at the world with a sense of awe? Absolutely! Thank you for this wonderful edit. It's as beautiful as the wonderful filmmaker himself.
My favourite Spielberg production was the Taken miniseries from the early 2000s, with the alternative history involving aliens and UFOs. Also being a producer for Transformers One is also awesome too.
“Asps. Very dangerous. You go first.”
Also, that was freaking brilliant. Bravo 👏🏾
Phenomenal. Truly inspiring and incredible work. A masterpiece piece of an honor to the greatest Director in history. Thank you.
This is an excellent montage. Well done. 👏
This is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.

Tears. Just tears. 😭
I hope Mister Spielberg sees this because it's a beautiful homage to all the magic he has given us in FIFTY YEARS. Thank you for this!

Dang. I can not even begin to contemplate the hours it took to compile this. Absolutely brilliant work.
Oh, dang! It's Christmas and Adam delivered one of his masterpieces! Best present ever!
First 30 seconds: goosebumps.
Last 90 seconds: tears of joy.

Holy moly, I take my hat off to the editor of this video. It’s a masterpiece, just like it’s source material. ❤
Jesus...they should show this at the Oscars whenever he dies...
And bonus points for the Henry V score usage.
🙏🏻
Me being the biggest Spielberg fan out there on this planet needed this ❤

50 years of magic and dreams. Can’t wait what comes next. Thank you Steven Spielberg.
I am jealous that I did not make this Jealous. Well done.
that was truly remarkable... excellent work... bravo!
Any time I hear someone take Spielberg for granted again, I'm going to send them this video.

Henry V score... good choice
My favourite Spielberg production was the Taken miniseries from the early 2000s, with the alternative history involving aliens and UFOs. Also being a producer for Transformers One is also awesome too.
Next year, Spielberg will begin production on The Dish with Emily Blunt and Colin Firth.
If you see this, Mr. Spielberg. Thank You
My kind of people
The dialogue/music juxtaposition at 9:07 is absolute. Hilarious. Shit.
At my age, I feel like Indy in The Last Crusade.
"What did you find, dad?"
"Me? Illumination"
Steven Spielberg is STEVEN SPIELBERG.
What film is at 8:05 ?
"A.I. Artificial Intelligence"
@ thanks
Duel "1982" - huh?!
It was the year it was finally released theatrically in the states, used that loophole to include it.
I love this video! I love Spielberg and I love Tom Cruise too. But why are we seeing Tom Cruise 5 times in the first 24 seconds of such a montage??!
Nice montage, but Max Richter's music has been used way too much... this time, it distracted me rather than it transported me.
Since shindlers list his movies have sucked!
