In The Great War Chemical Warfare mod, Gas Attack combat tactic is devastating, and need Gas Mask tactic to counter it, it's cool in that case, right now it seem like a forgotten mechanic of the game.
I think noone used gas in the second world wat, both since it was outlawed but also the effeciveness where not really there anymore because of the gasmasks. //TheRealBoppus
I know that's controversial, but what do you think of the Mass Assault doctrine, with the Mass Mobilization tree, when using a tank-heavy army combined with air support ? Mass Charge is a combat tactic with no counter, and one can raise its probability to be fired with the Victory or Death trait in the officer corps. This means that with enough armored divisions at the Schwerpunkt, one can deal a lot of damage while the enemy can't mass enough firepower. Pocket Defense, People's Army and Guerilla Warfare also reduce non-combat out of supply penalties as well as division attrition, so this should help when the divisions when moving near the frontline or after achieving a breakthrough. The problem though is that the doctrine doesn't offer notable buffs to the tank battalions, contrarily to Mobile Warfare or Superior Firepower.
Its a really interesting thought, for me personally it doesnt really fit with my playstyle. I like to have fast units doint small surrounds near the frontlines, cut off a part, surround, kill and then find the next weakness until i can just roll them over. Therefore i love Mobile Warefare, especially with the 5% extra coordination spirit. But i can see it working, especially breaking through hard lines with the extra width you get. But for me I would rather have speed or the extra attack from superior firepower with a tank-heavy army. //TheRealBoppus
@@hyggegaming One funny application of mass charge is to first attack from one direction, proc it, then add attacks from 2 other directions using the high reinforce rate. All of a sudden 60 width goes to 150, so it becomes possible to reinforce meme pretty fast unless opponent has lots of reinforce rate themselves. This isn't really a go-to with tanks, but it's a way roach builds can stack up damage and force enemies off spots on the line unexpectedly when they counter-attack.
Thank you very much for this guide. I always look forward to checking these out every Monday but this was a particular area I was very confused about. Love the content you guys make! excited for the next grand game.
What does the Attacker Tactic Damage and Defender Tactic Damage mean? Like when i Attack does it give me the Attacker Tactic Damage Buff, and when they're attacking me, does it give me the Defender Tactic Damage buff? I'm so confused what's it referring to
When you use a tactic, it will give a modifier to the attack value of both the attacker and the defender. So the Attacked tactics damage increases/decreases the attackers attack and the defender tactics damage increases/decreases the defenders tactics damage. Sorry for the late reply! //TheRealBoppus
Ah, sorry, everything sounded fine when i made it the but didnt listen in on that part after upload, the UA-cam upload can do stuff to the sound-mixing, usually its fine, but yeah. //TheRealBoppus
7:10 what if the battel is not a tie, for example if attacking general i level 5 and defending level 4, will there be a higher chance to get a counter tactic without need for recon

The only ones that came close to using gas in ww2 were the British.
when and how?@@honeybadger6275
The japanese use it in the Second Sino Japanese War at great extent during a lot of sieges

Longer guides are much better
I usually watch the whole videi
Thanks for the comment! :)

just imagine gorila in mountianes that sounds crazy op
Standard British Raj strategy for Burma. Have to be careful you don't get reinforcement memed since you're limiting your own combat width as well.
Great video!! My personal favourite: guerilla warfare. Works good with trikster and high recon. It's just makes your defense unpassable
Yeah, its amazing if you know how to play it! :)

So tactics suck cause they're random? Got it.
I wouldn’t say that, you can get a lot out of manage then correctly, event though they are not fully controllable.

Guerilla Tactics + CAS
Could be a great combo, if you have more positive modifiers than your enemy, they can really hurt from this
