I'm not really a fan of remixes. The remix of the remix again and again. Of course, there's an idea behind it, but sometimes, unfortunately, the original is chewed over too often. But this one I find really good. Maybe it's also because there are sounds here that are reminiscent of synth pop / the 80s! Nice! I like that. It captivated me right from the first time I heard it.
Thank you so much! 🖤 Enjoy the silence was initially meant to be a ballad. It was turned into a more danceable version. When I listened to Speak To Me for the first time, I felt like this is the Enjoy The Silence of the Memento Mori album. I took the drumset and beat from Enjoy the Silence as the basis and the sounds used are synths from the 90s, that’s why I feel the same like you, it sounds a bit like their pre-SOFAD work before 1993
