The evolution of pelvic exenteration surgery

We held a virtual education event about the evolution of pelvic exenteration surgery. This event was developed to provide healthcare professionals with an overview of how pelvic exenterative surgery has developed over the last decade, which patients can benefit from this surgery and what the key considerations are when referring patients to exenterative units, both from a nursing and surgical perspective.
We heard from speakers Ian Jenkins (Consultant Surgeon, St Mark's Hospital), Claire Taylor (Macmillan Nurse Consultant in Colorectal Cancer, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust) and Kelly Jones (Macmillan Total Pelvic Exenteration Clinical Nurse Specialist, Morriston Hospital/Ysbyty Treforys).
