The security clearance violation on Kushner and Manafort's part IS a crime, but a minor one. The penalty is large but not often given to any violators. At most, they might lose security clearance for a bit. Legal precedent set by Hillary's crimes would suggest nothing should happen to them. Not even a momentary loss of clearance.

So here is something to think about. Trump is unwilling to believe our Intelligence agencies , but seems perfectly okay with accepting the word of a former Russian KGB agent.
t b s - not *just* an agent - Putin was a colonel in charge of various operations in/against the West. He was particularly well positioned and trained to take advantage of the economic chaos in the former Soviet Union in the '90s, and ruthless enough to claw his way to power by 2000, where he has been since then. Manipulating first Shrub (remember the " ... I looked in his eyes ... " comment?) and tRump has been child's play for him.

I've actually been to the Soviet Union, PK, when I toured with an orchestra in 1990. We played in five cities, including Kiev and Leningrad, now St. Petersberg, plus three in Ukraine. I know what it's like, and I wouldn't want our country to be like that. But Putin's KBGFF certainly has an affection for the oligarchs who've stolen all the wealth of that country. It's really special.
I would be perfectly happy to see him resign, Denise Eugene, and in fact, I actually expect it. As the evidence piles up against him and his whole Russian-loving crew, it's going to get awfully uncomfortable for all of them. He even admitted he had a nice life before this presidency he was ingloriously "elected" to. I'm hoping and praying he'll want to go back to it and get out of our lives.
