Hey Jack bird expert here to inform you that the bird is doing what’s called a feeding response! Even as adults birds retain this reflex and when they are overstimulated they can do this behaviour and it is quite soothing to them. This is also a caique which is one of the most goofy birds in my opinion, they usually prefer to be with their own species and can be very sassy little things. 10/10 good borb
I LOVE the sound of loons. We have them on nearly all the lakes here in New England and they are so eerie, yet majestic, to hear in person in the early morning on a silent lake whose surface looks like glass and everything is so still and almost feels like the world is paused. It's an experience.
8:34 Fun fact, zygodactyl feet (two toes forward two back) is one of the defining features of parrots as a group of birds. It makes them very good climbers and good at holding things 😁 Sincerely, your resident bird nerd 🦜

The bird from the first bird video is called a caique which is a very friendly small parrot. Caiques are huge clowns and love to play. The bird is sort of stimming in the same way an ADHD person might. Parrots are also really attracted to metal/shiny things so he's probably trying to take the glasses from her.
7:52 Caribou screams are some of rhe most hautnting noises ive heard hear in real life. Even spookier because they only exist in places with woods where it can get dark and freaky at night
I think the cookies/biscuits tin is all over and through many cultures. My family has the sewing supplies in a cookie tin as well. I grew up with my grandparents reusing all sorts of containers that never contained what they originally had in them. Go into the fridge looking for the butter and nope it's leftovers from the night before. It was always in the original round light brown Country Crock Butter container. 😆
100% I love the sound that loons make. We have a lake side cabin and I get such an odd hit of good feels when they wake me up super early in the morning right before the sun rise. Also, fun fact they have their babies ride on their backs, so every now and then you can you get to see that cute sight too.
My parents have a lake house in Maine and there's one loon that looks like it's waving at us! It puts one of its little feet in the air and we're not sure why but it's adorable!
