Nice. I just upgraded the clocks (Ian Canada SC PURE) and voltage regulators (Sparkos labs 5v, 12v, -12v) in mine. Very big improvements. Doing the power supply next. Using a Toroidy Supeme Audio Grade transformer, Ian Canada 12v LinearPi Pro ultra-low noise linear power supply, Nvarcher 12V Super Capacitor Power Filter, and MOFI HiFi AC Power Line Dual EMI Filter Module. It will be at least 13X lower noise than the LHY audio LPS. I am glad to know it will make a good improvement.
Wow the clocks and voltage regulators that you upgraded to are good parts and you gotta perform soldering. Let us know how your LPS improves the sound. Cheers 👍🏼
Same slight hum here. I was able to install small o-rings between the print and the mounting pins, and that helped somewhat. Shorter pins and a thicker elastomer piece would help further I guess.
Thanks for sharing. I may try what you did at a later stage to experiment but it doesn’t bother me at all as I can’t hear it from my listening position even in a very quiet room. How has your sound improvement been after the LPS installation?
Great video! Just ordered one, i can't wait to fit it. I noticed you didn't fit the nylon washers between the chassis and the psu pcb. Did the instructions mention anything about this? There may be no need to, but I've seen it done in the A6 videos. I wonder if it might make the hum less audible, isolating the psu from the chassis? Thanks again for a great video. Unlike the A6 LPS, you don’t need to put the washers for this A8 LPS. If you put the washers in the IEC inlet will not align to the opening at the back. Thanks for subscribing, I’m hoping to reach 5k subs this month. Is there any particular content that you prefer

Great video! I plan to get an A8 this year and will do this upgrade some time after. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
That’s great 👍🏼

@@Hifihobby Yeah, easy to solder. Can take it to one of those cell phone repair places if you don't want to solder yourself.
That’s next level stuff. I will try to find out more. Where to order the part tho?
@Hifihobby audiophonics, aliexpress, sparkos, and Ian Canada
@@Pete.across.the.street .. thank you for sharing . Would you mind sharing more details? I looked on Ian Canada’s website , but so many choices.
Very nicely explained 👍🏻
Seems even the noob like me can do it
Thanks for the positive feedback. I try to make it as clear as possible.

@ I think you described the improvement very well. More air, detail, resolution and better separation from mid bass and up.
Agreed. Overall improvement 👍🏼 What’s the rest of the hifi system that you have currently?

perfect! I am about to do a similar upgrade as well!
Glad to be able to help you out. Let me know if you have any questions.
Is it possible to keep the protective plastic on the transformers? Thank you
I’m not very sure, the instructions provided asked to remove them.
You are so funny 😂

Personally, I'm not voiding my warranty for what I consider a minimal benefit, especially for the price.
good to know
There’s no warranty seal on the unit though.
Put the gloves on before you handle it. This is to protect the unit from static electricity
