I think we've done this enough times that, although there are some exceptions, the rules for success seem pretty clear:
1. MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE DRAWING.
2. Make it sweet.
3. Do not use ingredients that kids usually despise, unless they tell you otherwise.

I'm really disappointed sometimes at the dishes because they're all out on sweets while there are fruits and savory foods . It kinda makes me want to scream at the screen when the kid is like saying they want sweets when they also like savory foods but only say and pay attention to the sweet stuff.

Man, this kid is so sweet. He liked everything and was complimenting both their dishes. Even though Betsy's dish didn't look like his drawing, he still loved it. Some of the other kids on here are kinda rude and nit pick the dishes and get upset if they added something or it doesn't completely look like the drawing.
Finally, a kid who knows how to appreciate *EVERYTHING* but still knows what's what 🤣💕
