I enjoyed Rebel moon personally, but I can understand all the criticism, I think its just one of th post Dune success movies

@@thesherbet, I am yet to see the second half but yes, I totally agree it went with almost anima tropes and some of the scenes didn't add anything, that said it was Visually appealing :)
The only character I found interesting and wanted to follow was the one character with almost not screen time. I want to know more about the battle robots that stopped fighting until the one that finally killed again to save the girl that was nice to him.

I like the idea of the new combat patrols being in White Dwarf as long as they they spread the love to all armies.

@@Benshooman Peachy left recently to start his own venture. Fair play to him and good luck I guess, there was a big out pouring of support for him going his own way from the community which was nice, but it felt like nobody stopped to consider Geoff and Pat were still alive and kicking. It definitely wasn’t ‘at their expense’ but I hope they don’t feel disheartened as the community definitely still supports them too.
Normal service resumed.

Rewatching the video, Jeff, are the rumors true that Bella is making a whole Kroot hound army? Also Patrick if all ads where read in your squarespace space marine voice, i would buy more stuff.

Peachy left and we had a couple of weeks of being dragged across the hot coals for it. That’s what my statement was in reference to - Geoff
Cain would be perfect. I think it plays really well and there is enough source material to give the writers so room to have fun. Would play to a broad audience. This is the way.
If Pat's going to do a Geoff skin cloak, are you going to model his beard as a nice fur collar on the cloak? 😂

I think hiring from the stage with relative unknowns would be great for something as epic as the Horus Heresy. You need that gravitas and melodrama for a lot of the characters.

Geoff, have you tried just making mashed potato keeping the skins on? I’ve started doing this recently due to terminal laziness and I’ve been really enjoying it
That’s a good shout but I think I’d be found beaten to death with a masher.
In regards to the Old world rule book. Thats just rules, lore, fluff etc... what does come in the box is a small booklet of data sheets and rules for what models are in the box. Then there are two other big books that have all the data sheets and rules for good faction and bad factions. Then two smaller old school codex sized books for more specific rules for bretonnia and one for tomb kings. And I think these style ones will be released for every faction they re introduce to the game.
The French police (the really grumpy ones) have a little trailer that they run behind their van to transport the riot shields.

Next months white dwarf has a new tyranid list for combat patrol that hasn’t been a box before. Keep up the great work the painting phase 👍🍻
Don't mix tamiya thinner with vallejo for airbrush though, it gums up since the tamiya is alcohol based (don't drink it Geoff!)

I priced up the big bugs from Leviathan, the screamer killer, psychophage, neurotyrant, winged prime and Von Ryan's leapers. £155. Leviathan £150. I've still not decided whether to buy a Leviathan box and try and sell on what I don't want, or just pick the Nids half up from eBay, as the cost of those 5 being more than the box itself is kinda mental

Supperssors was first released in Shadowspear that had some of the first new chaos stuff in it also. And dont you think they will just release the upgrade spru for night lords, so you can buy just that and the normal box of CSM and that, i hope they do both, the kill team nightlords box and just the upgrade spru on its own. Legion imperialis is taking up most my painting at this time, but they realy need to be better at having the stuff for it in stock with local vendors. There is 3 books for old world, the core rules and one baddies book and one good guy book
I agree, you’d like to think that they’d just release the upgrade sprue but as far as I can remember, not one squad from kill team has had this happen.

Tell the truth, who throughout the whole of GW's long history, has actually really been able to have a 6x4 board in the house without it being a massive hassle, especially when the standard size of an actual table tends to be about 5x3. Smaller board sizes just makes sense when most british houses are the size of a slightly generous shoe box..

Yup. And then was packaged as the space marine combat patrol with a vehicle before Leviathan came out and the new space marine combat patrol replaced it. These models also came out in imperium magazine and are now available as an online exclusive. I basically picked up all the models for this combat patrol in 3 issues of Imperium from Forbidden Planet for £25

i play a lot of kill team and have dipped my toe in combat patrol. it’s much simpler and can be played quicker than kt. perfect for beginners except for the higher model count and if you need a fast game. 4 units means you can get it done in 1-2 hours easy.
Two solutions for you Geoff. One, teach the kids how to peel potatoes, surely the army taught you a quick technique. Two, Smash, it probably tastes better than the frozen stuff.
Definitely prefer the return to the table. The previous sofa camera set up was too crotch heavy.... 😅
Have you tried the H&S airbrush with one of those cheap Amazon portable compressors? Would be interesting to see how well it fares.

We know the first show is eisenhorn, i have a strong feeling gaunts ghosts for the 2nd series, because both are human perspective, and intro the power and grace of space marines
I think if the Warhamer movie project turns out well. I can see them making several movies, a bit like the Marvel Universe. But to get to do this they need a first movie that captures the audience.
I'm working on my multi-cultural skin cloak right now. Love a good skin cloak!
I'm loving the focus on Combat Patrol.
The Solarian CP list is the Vanguard set (minus Eliminators) plus Librarian. So it actually works really well since they're all tied to the same set of sprues. The Suppressors are already on the sprue with Infiltrators and Eliminators.

I have to say, the announcement of the Rogue Trader Kill Team in the next White Dwarf has me buzzing! I know that one will be a hodgepodge of Kill Team kits, but that suits me fine. I was dubious at first about 10th releasing with Combat Patrol as a featured game mode, but am really pleased with the WD support, will actually buy a copy for the first time in who knows how many years. Re weird multi sprue only models, don't forget Deathguard still never had a singular release of that fantastic Lord of Contagion.

little mashed potato tip: you don't actually need to peel the potatoes. when you mash the potato, it breaks up the skin enough that you can barely see it in the potato and it doesnt affect the taste or texture.
I’ve learnt so much about mashed potatoes since releasing this video, cheers.

Regarding the "If it's not on the dataslate it's not on the sprue" thing, the index had way more options for the terminator captain and the codex got rid of them, probably because of the push-fit captain.

I didn't get leviathan, I wasn't interested in 40K 9-10 months ago. I priced up the marine half as a separate purchase on GW's website and then asked my mate what he paid for leviathan. In AUD, the marine half costs $370 AUD. My mate paid $420 for the whole leviathan box. Good thing he still had the marine half left for me and is happy to give them to me for nothing lol.
Also, most of leviathan doesn't suit the chapter of space marines I want to do, the Carcharadons Astra.

There’s a rumour that 2 workshop employees, many people saying 1 was Peachy which is probably why it became a meme on the podcast, had a fight in the warhammer world parking lot. Probably wasn’t Peachy as if it was I doubt he’d want it to be a running joke on a podcast, but either way that’s the short version and as far as I’m aware their isn’t really a long version
I'm guessing there was some drama with Peachy or else it'd be addressed more frankly?
There were statements from all of us on Insta, now trying to move on and hope people can enjoy all of our endeavours.
Tbh I think it's more the Painting Phase has lost their golden goose, and they're trying to keep the noise of that as quiet as possible.
They've made a statement, but they've made it on their smallest social media following.
Also I'm not sure about dramas per say, but it doesn't sound like a friendly adieu.
I’m guessing it’s an argument over pay. My guess was that peachy asked for a bigger slice of the pie saying he bought all of the new veiwers in. Im guessing he didn’t get it then left.
But without telling us what happened, we are forced to speculate
@oliverpedder-platt9629 Peachy's statement talks about his reasons and I don't think pay was necessarily the driving factor, rather creative control of content output.
You can watch his introduction video and he talks about wanting to do lots of painting videos - but over his time on the show he's done relatively few of those compared to other content.
I think he felt the distribution of content wasn't what he wanted to do, they wouldn't accomodate him, and he's then left to do what he wants to do himself.
