I had a Thai coworker when I worked at a movie theatre and she was slowly teaching me Thai when we had free moments and she also introduced me to some of her favorite foods which was fun! She would introduce me to her Thai friends and make me introduce myself to them in Thai and I was always terrified but apparently I did alright because they would compliment me. I miss her we lost contact after COVID when we were all let go of our jobs. But I’m sure one day I’ll see her again! Also side note, I think it was sweet of you and Regie to give the money back but be careful when doing so because some elders find it rude when you don’t accept their “gifts”.

Its amazing to see a different way of making kai jeiw, the way you made it is much different from my area, we did eggs, water, fish sauce or soy sauce, garlic, and MSG, and usually cooked it in canola or vegetable oil because those oils could get hotter than others.

im not from thailand but been there multiple times, thai snacks are fireeeeee i promise you 90% of the itinerary when you visit thailand is eating xD btw my fav thai snacks are their meiji (flavoured milk), betagen (yakult drink), flavoured nuts, lays, MAMA instant noodles and their 7Eleven's sandwiches/burgers. I spend fortunes everytime i get to their 7Es lmao
