    Great.
You are helping children get back to naked eye 20/20, from 20/60.
    Life savers.

Will this exercise help me go from 20/50, to 20/20?
Refractive change, -0.5 Diopters to +0.5 Diopters.
    Just good science based effort.
    Should work.

With regards to identifying whether the lens is a +2.00 ds or -2.00, is it true that that lens with the +2.00 ds will intensify light that passes through it, similar to how a magnifying lens intensifies any light passing through it?

Why only +/- 2.00 DS is used foe this test? Not other power more or less than that?

because they start with negative lenses, wouldn't it be better to start with positive lenses to relax the accommodation?

Student of optometry here - all my litterature on the subject dictates that you start with +2,00.
