What time of year were you in Austria for this trip?

Ooh now…. I usually post the videos immediately after the trip. Looking through my photos I’d say mid to end of June.
The weather was changeable as you can probably tell but hot when the sun was out.

I would love you're opinion ,My wife and myself are going to buy a moterhome/or campervan for our retirement, We would like to buy a fully integrated van ,I have the grandad licence so I can drive over 3.5 ton ,but I'm worried about road access and the limitations we would have at locations regarding sightseeing etc .we're hoping to camp stop at proper sights with the occasional wild camp whilst traveling ,But I'm so split without experience as to the best option ,Motorola or van conversion

Umm it’s tough one because there’s always a compromise. Obviously a bigger Motorhome is not so practical for parking in towns etc but you gain a more comfortable living space. We were swayed by having a large dog and wanting to have a separate sleeping and lounging area which could be closed off if one of you wants to sleep longer. Lots of people seem to go for a slightly shorter vehicle and tow a small car. I would say it really depends where you intend to travel. Cornwall for instance would be better suited to a small van. If you stay on campsite and take a bike or walk you’ll be fine with a larger van. I think it’s the age old question what are you prepared to compromise on space or convenience. There’s usually a bus close to campsite too…. Let me know what you decide. If you have more questions feel free to ask. I would say go and look at as many as you can in person they’re never quite as spacious as you imagine. Also to consider, are you prepared to make a bed up out of cushions etc every night? And storage of said bedding during the day can take lots of space.

Just a thought…. I don’t know if you’ve heard of Andrew Ditton but he does a paid consultation to help people avoid costly mistakes. It’s quite in depth I believe and he will give recommendations afterwards. Maybe worth checking him out. He’s a lovely man too. 😀

@@BellasBigAdventuresThank you for you're reply , Yes I have heard of Andrew Ditton ,He is very informative on his reviews.Ive promised my wife i will taxi her wherever she wants to go (after 37 yrs of marriage I love her more, don't tell her lol). The biggest fear i have on motorhomes is not the width but the overhang over the rear axle when turning at a junction ,I'm scared ill clip a parked car ,But these are my problems lol

@@Humpygrumpy5 ah tell her she’ll be happy to hear it! Actually I have only driven the van on a motorway so far but my hubby says because you’re already worried about it you’ll invariably but more careful and will remember to swing out wider to compensate for the back end. It’s all just practice! You can do lessons I believe and why not hire both types and see which you prefer? Saves a costly mistake plus they’re insured 😂
